  1. If I was to create a pet site, I would make features with two things in mind. 1) They have to be fun. 2) They have to be related to pets. Of course adding other features that don't fit into both criteria is always nice. For example, the feeding and playing with your pets features I've seen have always been cute and a nice thing on the side, they are obvious pet features, but they aren't really fun (at least the ones I've used, they just felt kinda repetative and mundane). Or an example of something fun but not pet related necessarily I would say might be battling. Great feature to have, but we don't fight pets in real life, it has more of a Pokemon feel (so I wouldn't center a petsite around it if I wanted to focus on pets). An example of something that's both fun and pet related might be adoptions and adoption agencies. I remember on Neopets, people loved making these. Theyd collect a bunch of unwanted pets from the pound and rehome them. This is a totally believable scenario for pets in real life, and also is a lot of fun. A whole site could probably be based off a pet adoption concept, but if not, at least it could be one of the core features. Another core feature could be pet shows (like you train them to do tricks and such and compete with other players, not like shows for breeders like in SIMs, but pet shows like that TV program Pet Star). Again, don't get me wrong. Totally love battling, playing with your pets, etc. and sites like Subeta I would still consider a pet site, this is just what I would do personally if I was going to focus on the pet aspect of a pet site. This is just my opinion and some brainstorming though.
  2. I love the idea of sending adoptables between users, but voted for offsite clicks and referals feature because of TGL's newness =D Sounds like a great idea to bring in more people.
  3. You are, and I envy you. I tried to work with Illustrator gradients. Gave up and went back to PS. lol
  4. Yeah =D And then back to Photoshop for color. I know Photoshop pretty well, but not Illustrator. They are hard to learn. When I took graphic design, most of the other students were good in Photoshop but dreaded Illustrator, so that one's a trick for people. I think the switch from raster to vector really confuses artists who've never used it. But yeah, Adobe programs in general take some time to get used to
  5. I use a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator on most of the stuff I draw. I like Illustrator for the vectors, it makes lining a lot easier than in Photoshop. I prefer Photoshop for sketching because of the way pixels fade into the background (makes it easier for me to sketch out shapes personally). I chose Adobe programs because that's all I know. Had a Photoshop class when I was 12 and have been using them ever since.
  6. Me too. I'm up for helping depending on what the work is and if I'm capable. I'm probably not lol but I can do some stuff in PHP. Sounds like a lot of artists would like this. I saw a petsite maker once, but it's been a long time and I've forgotten what it was.

Thank you! You have been great to work with, Digital.
  8. Great to hear! And love the idea of community leaders. =D Thank you everyone!
  9. Very nice! I love your colorful shading.
  10. I got this game a year or two ago and it was incredible! Didn't play it, but my friend did for a while. She hasn't since then, though. I bet they've made tremendous progress. Glad to hear about it.
  11. I love rabbits and hares. The jack rabbit (technically a hare) is my favorite animal in terms of appearance just because I think they look so majestic.
  12. Yeah! Agreed on the shortcut, that is very helpful.
  13. Thank you for the interciew. Great to know about how the game got started, how the creation system was changed, and your input on the importance of player suggestions.
  14. I prefer to look at 'latest replies,' stuff I haven't read or just the most recent. If that's not available, I look at the popular ones. Also I'm lazy and won't click on anything usually unless both of those aren't viewavle available at a glance.
  15. lol Yes. Joining a brand new forum is always fun. Get to grab the first choice usernames. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the awesome name!
  16. Great idea! And helps a lot. Maybe with this feature there could be some kind of icon or title prefix on the looking for work thread that say "OPEN" or "CLOSED" so people browsing them don't need to read the threads of people who aren't currently open for work. I like this a lot since I am sometimes open to commissions, but my slots fill up quickly and most of the time I just have too much work to take on more.
  17. Nice to hear about your guys' other work and backgrounds =D I make most of my money through freelancing and a small sign manufacturing business that I run from home with a press. I use my artwork on the signs and then sell them online. I also have my website, but that doesn't really bring in any money.
  18. Hi Kitty! =D Nice username steal. It'll be great to have you on the forum!
  19. Wow, I came in closer than I though =D Haha.
  20. This is great! I'm excited to see the new backgrounds!
  21. This is awesome! I love the daily streak bonus! Also good to hear on the mobile. I tried to check out one of my adoptables on mobile the other day and couldn't find it, figured I was just not looking hard enough.
  22. Agreed that titles seemed to have value in the marketplace. I don't mind titles being outdated personally, since it doesn't hurt to have them (not sure if impacts anything in a negative way). You can usually tell when someone's open for work because they'll post about it, and you can tell if someone is still active (so having the title removed doesn't seem like it would make any difference to me, it would just be something you have to hassle with to keep up). I'm not totally sure though, that's just been my experience. =D
  23. Welcome to TGL. =D It's nice to have you.
