Celestial Equine is in the middle of a major overhaul, and we are in search of a wonderful writer! This is a paid position with tons of room for growth as the site grows. What does this position entail? We are initially looking for a writer to perfect CE's backstory (I will assist) along with writing an initial story for our world merge. I do have rough outlines and writing style examples, so you will have a good amount of guidance for this position! In addition to the backstory and initial merge story, we are wanting to release monthly "lore" to tie in item releases and other site changes. Interested? @Design1online Yes. I actually had sent you an email about this a few days ago. We have updated the .htaccess file along with the language table (url) in the db. There seems to be an issue with directing to the correct dB for the dev vserion, but my other devs have not had success with this issue.

I have found myself having less and less time to devote to www.celestialequine.com which has lead me to consider selling the game. About the game Celestial Equine is a browser-based fantasy equine SIM for all ages! Basic game-play is completely free, but upgraded features are available in our special Cash Shop. Players can create their own fantasy horses, compete in shows, battle, and breed to create unique genetics. Celestial Equine features 18 unique worlds, which are unlocked through game-play. Each world houses unique breeds, shops, clubs, competitions, mini games, and more! With so many interesting features, players can choose to focus on a single game-play aspect, or attempt to master multiple areas of the game! Whether a player is interested in breeding unique genetics, playing mini-games, or winning competitions, Celestial Equine users are sure to be amazed! Here is a quick breakdown of the game's current features: Standard registration/login/credential retrieval Forum/Chat Breeding system Horse Sale System Private Messages Player Reviews + Rewards Random Events Upgraded Gameplay Battle System Competition System Clubs (not currently enabled, but completed) Quests Advanced Admin Panel Cash Shop (Paypal Integration) Discord Server Integration Moderator System Unreleased art/items I am proud to say the game has been profitable for the last two years and does currently support itself. Celestial Equine has huge news! We have launched our first Indiegogo campaign to help fund our database optimization/genetics overhaul, server upgrades, and other various developmental updates! Why indiegogo? Celestial Equine is currently in a live development mode with an amazing, active group of players. We are entering our final phase of development, which includes perfecting our current features, resolving lingering bugs, and most importantly improving our game's load times. In order to speed up Celestial Equine, we are needing a total overhaul of our genetics system. Due to the massive amount of genetics available for players, we have ran into glitches during breeding, breed registration, and an overall lag during browsing and other activities. Here is a breakdown of where the $1,500 will be spent: Genetics Overhaul - $500.00 The genetics update will not only improve load times, but also result in a more interesting breeding experience! In addition to optimizing our database, we also have a new breeding algorithm to introduce! This new genetics feature will allow for carrier genes, incorporate genetics from the parent breeds, and add a rarity factor into the breeding script. Server Upgrades - $500.00 We anticipate a sizeable influx of active players once our load times are resolved, so upgrading our servers is our second most important priority. We would like to raise 3 months worth of server fees + the fee our developer will charge to assist with the move. Our upgraded server will ensure Celestial Equine stays lighting fast! Bug Fixes - $300.00 We have a handful of pesky bugs (errors) remaining that need to be resolved. These fixes will help improve the game experience and allow us to introduce new features! Genetics Management System Upgrades - $200.00 The last bit of our raised funds will go towards upgrading our genetics management admin panel!
