  1. Oh look, it's a gift for you from the team at TGL! We have a gift for all our members, in order to celebrate the Holiday season, we decided to share an available one-time-only Adoptable for you all to snag while you can. After Jan 1st, it will be gone forever! Meet the Wolbit! Drawn by the ever talented @Aminirus, the Wolbit hails from the cold tundra, has a fierce attitude, and has one of the most festive fur coats I have ever seen. Enjoy!
  2. @Dinocanid -- I definitely like IntroJS. @Design1online -- The argument to make isn't the cost of something, but the value to the individual person. I think it is common knowledge these games take a lot in terms of financial resources, but they also a greater opportunity to learn something that may be out of the comfort zone of individuals. Now - that is worth a lot more then anything monetary. What @Dinocanid was asking for advice on solutions, and they gracefully declined your solution (which is absolutely valid and worthwhile addition.) We would like to strive always for the helpful and courteous community where people can ask these great questions and get great feedback. We want friendliness to win the day, not arguments or retorts.
  3. As you guys have noticed, the new xmas themed version of our board layout went live. Not a lot changed, but it does feel a little more festive.
  4. I just wanted to stop in and say Happy Thanksgiving for those in the states, and well, same to our international friends! I also wanted to let the community know that for the rest of this week and next, my responses to PM's and such will be delayed a little longer then normal. I am taking this holiday to move (a household of 4) about 1200 miles north, from San Diego, California - to the currently wet and rainy Seattle, WA area. During this time, I will be without internet for part of it, driving the other part of it, and unpacking the rest of it. I will be able to respond via mobile however, but expect a slight delay as I get settled in. @Martyn is also around should you need to reach out. Bonus points for Thanksgiving food pics! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  5. This does sound like a difficult situation. I wish you luck and a better year! Sounds very interesting, how is it going?
  6. I am sure everyone might be a little different on this topic, but I wanted to get some input on what you @Programmer felt were the most important aspects you need in order to stay interested, and work on a project for a longer period of time. What do you expect from the owner, what do you expect in terms of requirements. What organization do you feel is important?
  7. So, as many of our @Game Owner can attest towards, it is hard to keep good talent on a team, much less keep that talent moving forward. How have you kept your teams motivated and connected to get your project off the ground?
  8. Been there, too many times to comfortably want to admit Most bugs are usually simple to resolve, however being the complicated logical people coders are, well - not so simple
  9. So, for those of you in the US, it is near time for our Thanksgiving. How many of you perhaps already have your Christmas stuff out? I am amazed how early I see Christmas stuff out in stores these days. Seems like they put it out a month earlier every year.
  10. Do you guys think that collecting items to open up areas of the site are useful mechanics? Say like Neopets Lab Ray or the Treasure Maps?
  11. Thanks for the input, great suggestions!
  12. So many @Game Owner and so much combined knowledge, I love it
  13. I am bumping this to get some more questions. Also going to reset it here a little. Is daydreaming fun?
  14. Kicking this topic to get some life in it. False. You doodle on your notes.
  15. The vote is over, and the results are in. The community chose @Cybura as the lead, with a close second place going to @Dinocanid! Congrats to both the winners, I will be in touch over the next day or two to arrange your prizes!
  16. So, as an @Artist especially if you are doing it as a freelancer, do you ever do free art? Is this art only personal, or ever as a client to artist arrangement. The need to be paid for effort is always important, but I wonder if as an artist you have ever done work for free, and what drives that decision?
