  1. I'm actually one of those that falls in the middle of this. Basically for any project, I write out the main details , do sketches if need be, but it's never super detailed. Then I actually get to work and work out the minute details as I go through it, but having already set out the main details, I know what needs to go where and what needs to be done to reach a final look. Being just an artist and writer, I like planning what is to be done, but leaving wiggle room for change. I have detailed things out completely in the past before and to be honest, I hated it. I felt more pressure and stress when it was all laid out in front of me than when I do if I know there is either room for improvement or to switch things up a little. Plus, I also noticed that when I plan things out fully, I never tend to finish them.. I just eventually.. stop. So if I leave wiggle room and know things can be adjusted and changed, I usually see a project to the end. Of course I complete everything if there is a deadline given, but for personal projects, basic planning first, then one step at a time afterwards.
  2. Hey there and welcome @Bedouin to TGL! I love german shepherds and hope to own one myself one day :3
  3. Hey there, I'd be happy to help out. You can view some example work here: http://hayleydubay.artworkfolio.com/gallery/840744#17 As for cost, I can do $2.00 per item
  4. Hello and welcome @treemasterx! Hope you enjoy your time here at TGL :3
  5. Hello and welcome @rachelsaurus! Awesome name btw. I do hope you enjoy your time here :3
  6. I think it sorta depends on what you used or target the most. Like for me, the best locations for me to use social media as advertising would be facebook and deviantart because I have larger followings on there and thus can target more people. I have paid for ads before on some sites, which also helped, especially if I know ahead of time that they get a lot of "foot" traffic.
  7. Personally, I enjoy doing cell shaded work mostly because it doesn't take as long to do and can still produce a clean, crisp image that is easy to identify. Since I also do a lot of graphic novels, cell shading works the best for this, especially when transferring from online reading to a physical book. I do like realistic stuff, don't get me wrong, but for some things, it's not really necessary. I practice my realism of course, but it can be time consuming and requires a lot of detail. These days, time is a luxury for me so I have to spend it wisely and thus, cell shading means I can get more done and still have some time left to do more or even just relax for the rest of the time.
  8. I plan on customizing one sooner or later... just not sure which and when.. maybe aiming for the unicorn
  9. Yeah, super great idea. When I joined, it was also the first thing I saw and then a post stamped on the front page about rules and such, but apparently it took me a bit to figure out that's what it was and not just a basic guide on how to use the site.
  10. Wow, so many and so awesome :3
  11. It was a massive pain @Digital but still glad it turned out not too bad
  12. Hey there @Silverwulfess and welcome! Hope you enjoy your time here :3
  13. Yes, I completed it C: You can full view it here: http://aminirus.deviantart.com/art/Commish-Sergal-682788071
  14. Thanks. I hope so too. I'm trying a new technique again. One of the hardest things I struggle with is doing fur digitally and I keep going through boat loads of tutorials trying to find which one will work out for me. Hopefully I can hold this one through to the end.
  15. Congrats @Nate! I think I'm not too far behind that goal myself
  16. Oh man, that bulldog thing is so awesome! I wish I had a purpose for it because I would so snatch it up... but alas, the two games that take up my priority don't involve such an awesome critter or anything similar I could use for it. I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling these guys. They are all really cool!
  17. This is an impressive and super helpful list :3 I always like checking out some new games here and there. I occasionally play or have played some of these. Howrse can be mobile but doesn't have to be and I also belong to Northern Call and Asmundr. I've played Flight Rising and Lioden before but haven't back in quite awhile. I also used to play a game called Wolf Play Game... but due to some misunderstandings between their game and mine, my account got banned and has yet to be released, but I did do some artwork for them. I also did some artwork for Beast Keepers, some of the wild beasts you find and fight, so that's cool :3
  18. That's great @Tanya! I look forward to seeing you around here too.
  19. Awesome update :3 Love going through this mainly to see what's been "hot" and how things are going in general.
  20. This is pretty helpful. I use Trello myself but not all that often. Mostly just as a sort of filing system to keep track of my completed files
  21. That is actually helpful for me because I probably would have made the same mistake and wondered why it wasn't working C:
  22. @jakdacrowe, that is a cool looking critter :3 @dracula, those werewolves are awesome. I like the feral Alpha As for myself, today I'll be working on this, a full body image for a client. Looks better on the computer rather than a picture, but you can still get the idea of it.
  23. Well, I still have hopes for having something for Wild Howlz up this year, but as for when exactly... >.> I don't really know. Both me and @Anoua can get quite busy when we need money so Wild Howlz is going a little slow. As it's owner, I'm not complaining though. I'd rather take it slow and have it done right than have the mistakes that happened in the past occur again and get a game I am not satisfied with in the slightest.
