  1. Geez - I remember when I was buying a 64 GB USD key thinking "this is huge" had it was likely more than that.
  2. I used to be hosted on HostGator, but then they got stupidly terrible, yay EIG, and way more expensive at the same time. I used to host IcePets.Com on VPS Dime, pretty darn cheap for what you got. Really reliable. But now, I'm on QNEZ's servers like Misticpets is. @GeekGirl is amazing to work with.
  3. I also have XBOX Game Pass, partially due to the upgrade window, and also because I already had it when I tried to renew my Gold account. That being said, I personally prefer to just straight up buy the games because I rarely play and would like to be able to continue playing even if I stop paying. I have a mixture of both physical and digital games. I recently bought at 512 GB MicroSD card (didn't realize there was such a thing) for my Switch for all fo the games and the updates that go along with it.
  4. And of course the "baby yoda"s of the world increased in numbers after the show happened.
  5. /me shudders - yeah CSS and it's finickiness is not my favourite thing in the world. Takes way too much time to get "right", and even that is subjective. This is why I normally focus on the backend stuff @ShadowMage I have never heard of that package until now! Is it a lot more useful than just using straight gates/policies? So much power ... but then so much ability to have one character screw it up entirely https://rubular.com/ has helped me through the years of regex.
  6. Enterprise was the first one that I actually watched all of. I have to get back into finishing *all* of the other series. I normally got 2-3 seasons in then forgot to go back ... I should probably go back to them soon Mandalorean = meh, meh meh OMG THIS IS AMAZING!
  7. I just stumbled across the following website today, it's really cool to see all of the projects that are coming out of VueJS (all of the extensions). https://vuewatch.com/# Have you had any experience with any of these packages? Are they good?
  8. I heard this one the other day and loved it. Why is "beef stew" not a good password?
  9. I've always been a fan of Star Trek, back from my first days of watching Star Trek: The Next Generation (then I went back to watch The Original Series). I was excited to see at the end of last year that a new series, Picard, was starting up. So far I'm loving it - so much of the Star Trek that I've been missing over the last while. After starting to watch it, I immediately went and watched Discovery since there was a bit I was missing there. So good! What do you think?
  10. Is there anyone in particular you would like to have interviewed? We have been talking about this again and would love to continue it.
  11. As much as that may seem like a good idea, my free time is already limited already so I wouldn't be able to handle it. But maybe someone else can
  12. @DaRule There is the possibility that someone could offer to purchase it off of them if there was the loyal fan base. The community may be small but around.
  13. @Dinocanid How is this project going? Or is it mostly on hold?
  14. The name sounds so familiar but looking at it doesn't ring any bells Hopefully it's not one of the ones that goes down with the removal of flash
  15. Ugh yeah very true, at least Laravel makes it a /ton/ easier with the form requests. For me, the thing that always drags me down is implementing forums - they are such boring code but can sometimes be overly complicated which sucks especially when looking to improve things, and make it work with things like quoting (with pseudo-references).
  16. Every game site has those features that you as a developer absolutely hate implementing. Even just thinking about working on it sometimes drains the life out of you. What is that feature for you and why?
  17. I have nothing against CPVR at all, we were friends for the longest time, throughout the life of VPL. I'm more just disappointed in the overall decision more than anything else. If my comments are taken as trying to tear him down, then they have been misinterpreted and I apologize for the miscommunication. I just find it insane to try to "rebuild the community" another time on VPL. I reached out to him as a way of saying "welcome back", and offering a way to make the transition back a little easier. The pet/game/sim site community as a whole is fairly small, in my opinion it helps us, the community, stick together instead of constantly competing against one another. Having "yet another forum" will help to fracture the already divided community instead of unite them.
  18. I'm with @Martyn on this one, I'm not super stoked that it has returned, and as @Shex it's just "another forum" at this point because the old content is gone. Carlos is good at content generation, so when it came up I suggested we join forces to build up the community and the response that I got was pretty much "why would I get rid of my site with 200k backlinks?". My thought was to try to unite the community but it seems as though he is letting his brand and desire for personal popularity be more important than the community at large.
  19. @tavsangel Were you meaning to send this on a specific site?
  20. @LIZ - I sent him a note on LinkedIn (for something else), he read it but never responded. I'm going to guess it'll be a challenge to "get a hold" of him unfortunately.
  21. That's a great plan Sites take a lot of effort and love so gotta take it slow sometimes even when you are excited
  22. Congratulations @Terris I'm glad to see it come to good hands. Let me know if you need some help
  23. @Thistle do you know if this code was using a Framework like Laravel?
  24. I messaged him the other day about getting the old Boopets art for VirtualPetSite.Art because I liked how it looked, he read the message and then didn't respond
