Thanks to the wonderful creative efforts of our fellow Terrafrostians, Ralph was finally able to put together the brand new Keepsake Misadventures featuring a story written through everyone's combined work! As promised, all participants will receive their own copy of the book. It will also be restocking over at Ralph's Page Turners if you want to grab some extra copies to share! The Weapons Trido will be rewarding these at the Weapons Quest as well, while Penelope will be looking for some copies for the Book Quest in a week's time. A few of the Glacia shopkeepers have also got some brand new items stocking their shelves! The United Terrafrost Post Office got a huge shipment of new stamps for you to collect - the Welcoming Stamp, Frozen Collectives Emporium Stamp, Glacial Grocer Stamp and Mythical Novyn Statue Stamp are now available for purchase. Yogi also threw in the new Postal Coin as well, for any inquisitive Coin collectors! Meanwhile, Hazel has been settling in well to her new role at the Glacial Grocer and is ready to introduce some tasty new products. The hearty Meatloaf, Chicken and Veggie Snowdin meals can be found exclusively at the Glacial Grocer, along with the hot new Sharshel Paw Puffs and Glacial Grocer Sparkling Water! The Candy Quest will be rewarding all of these new products for completing their quests, while the Space Quest will be looking to get them in one week. Get ready to break out your thinking caps because it's time for a little Community Made Story Contest! Ever since Terrafrostians all over the globe worked hard to rebuild our beloved Glacia, we would love to see everyone work together to collectively write our own story. A Staff member will start off the thread with the first line for the story. In order to participate, you must come up with the next sentence for the story and reply to the thread with your sentence. The next commenter must then provide the next sentence following the last commentor's sentence, and so forth. Remember, your sentence must build on the most recent commentor's contribution, not just the first post, in order to create a community made story. You do not need to sign up to participate, you only need to reply to this thread with your contributions. Everyone is free to participate! Rules: Rule 1 - Staff will provide the first sentence. Rule 2 - No more than 3 sentences per User in one post. Rule 3 - Each sentence must be at least 35 characters long. Rule 4 - Contributions must be kept PG-13. Rule 5 - Make sure the sentence you add makes sense, and follows the story coherently. Rule 6 - Your addition must be related to IcePets in some form. Each individual Lythian may choose one starter Realm by going to their profile page. Realm Keys are displayed on the Lythian’s profile, to show off which realms they have access to. Various keys may unlock access to other features just by obtaining them (eg, visiting certain shops) or once you’ve increased your Key Mastery (eg, setting up a guild). Note: Some of these features are currently openly available (such as guilds), but will be moved behind realm requirements in the future. A warning will be posted prior to this change, to give time to unlock said realms. At the moment, the 3 realms released are the 3 starter realms, but more are waiting in the wings to be discovered soon! Each Realm has a series of quests in two categories, which tell a story about the location, or are simply related prompts. Good evening, CE players! We are excited to announce some new additions to our Celestial Equine staff, along with a bit of restructuring of our staff team. To kick off this announcement, we are thrilled to announce the return of our head moderator, Jericho! Jericho has been with the game since 2017, shortly after the live reopening. During this time she has been vital in creating the bones of our community guidelines, our help section, and lead the moderation of our Forums and Discord chats. Jericho is resuming this head position, and is a great addition to our close-knit team! Ellastasia remains our head artist and administrative assistant. Desideria also remains as a second-in-charge member of the moderation team, along with being a recolor artist/overall troubleshooter. In addition to the players mentioned above, we are excited to announce the addition of Moonstorm to our troubleshooting/mini-moderation staff team! Moonstorm will serve as a moderator for our wonderful players in opposite timezones, and also assists with administrative tasks to help the game run smoothly. I am eternally grateful for our fantastic staff team as they play a vital role in the growth and success of Celestial Equine! Onto new releases! We have some very exciting development updates to share with everyone. As of Sunday, we have enabled our new item cycling feature to keep the market shops and cash shop fresh! We now have the ability to mark items as "standard" with a bi-weekly stocking rate, monthly (stocked during a preset month only), and seasonal (only stocked during certain seasons). Our goal with this new cycling feature is to keep the shops stocked with fresh items, and also add a little bit of exclusivity to our growing CE gene pool. To kick off this fantastic feature, we will be blasting everyone with 120 brand-new magic shop genes! These genes include body colors, matching mane/tail sets, wings, horns, and body markings. This will give you a taste of our new method of handling monthly themes and seasonal themes. We will also trickle in some beautiful seasonal genes along with our monthly releases! In addition to our pending gene releases, we also have a plethora of new wearables for you all to play with! These will follow our September "Moroccan Rune" theme, which is one of my favorite themes yet! Our September releases will become available September 1st, as we are pre-loading these items into our database to build up for a big blast of new items. In addition to the market shops updating, our Cash Shop will automatically update as well with new items. Next up, development! Lyara, the deity of fertility, has many different physical forms. This is because they take on the form of someone you consider family, which is different for every Lythian; this also means that they can appear to a single individual in a multitude of ways, if they have a large family. The one constant about Lyara is their halo, which floats above them throughout all iterations. They are also one of the more active deities in that Lythians have a very good chance of interacting with them. If you are partnering your Lythian with someone else's, one person needs to submit the form for both of you, and the other person will receive a notification asking for confirmation. Hello! We've started rolling out some updates to playable species information today, following the recent Realm overhaul announcements, and in preparation for the baby breeding event coming soon! The following species have already had their information updated, and the remaining species will be updated shortly: Axomaurs, Chuikhas, Flytes, Gryfons, Haenyms, Igalyphs, Kella Ser, Kuniklovs, and Lagunas The above species have received updates across the board, and had baby information added. These pages also reference "Origin Story Quests" however those quests are not yet available, but are coming soon! A "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) section appears on some species pages, where there may be extra relevant questions or information available. The Location and Story tabs have been removed, in favor of the lore to be provided in upcoming Origin Story Quests. Haenyms now reference "sects" rather than subspecies. The ability to change this at-will, as mentioned in their FAQ, will be added soon. ✦✦✦ Lastly, Sheceans have been changed from a standalone species to a subspecies of Laguna. To elaborate on this decision: We wanted to establish their intelligence and reasoning ability to be equal of that of any other species, and additionally we did not necessarily feel that Sheceans had enough of their own species identity to separate them from Lagunas completely. We do not take the decision to combine/"remove" a species lightly, but feel this is the best course of action moving forward for Sheceans in particular. Regarding existing Sheceans: Existing Sheceans will have their masterlist and IDs updated to "Laguna - LA##" and have the "Shecean" subspecies added to them (this also means their profile URL will change to the new "LA##" ID). If you own an existing Shecean, you do not need to redesign them and can continue using them with their designs as-is. As referenced in the updated Laguna species information page, Shecean subspecies Lagunas retain their shell-like sensors and extra limbs, and thus do not need to physically change at all. However, you are also allowed to submit an update to them for free with the new information in mind, if you would like to do so. The change to existing Shecean masterlist entries will occur next week, to provide time for this information to be seen. Good evening, CE players! This news update will cover some recent new releases, development updates, bug fixes, and pending releases! We also have a lore chapter on the way along with some lore integration to our currently available game features! First off, we are thrilled to announce we have made changes to our breeding script! Previously, foals always stayed with the owner of the mare. We have revised the breeding process to ensure foals bred from two different players always go to the player who paid the breeding fee! In addition to these changes, we have modified the notifications sent when a breeding request has been sent, and after the breeding is approved. Who is excited to breed without waiting for their foals to be sent through the trade board?! Next, we have also made revisions to our Elder Quest game! The Quests were resetting players back to level one despite the level being completed, so we have now entered the testing phase of this fix. We would appreciate it if players would try out a few levels and check back in an hour to see if you were reset. This will help us identify any residual bugs! In addition to fixing the Quest bug, this feature is about to receive a wonderful overhaul to integrate lore! Mini-stories and beautiful artwork will make an arrival by September, so be on the lookout for a fun little update. We are still working on adding approved creators to private breeds along with the approval process, which is expected to be wrapped up next weekend. Thank you all for your patience while we work on these builds! Breeds and creation is the heartbeat of CE, so we want to ensure this build is done thoroughly and correctly. Next up we have a little preview for pending feature releases and updates! Development Cue: - Ability to cancel trade offers and trade lots (fixing the stuck horse bug) - Remove the ability for players to post "stickied" forum threads (staff only) - Horse retirement bug resolution - Add a link to add a horse to trade/auction from the profile - Add a link to add an item to trade/auction from inventory - Add cool down text to barn view for horses - Ability to retire a horse at any age (previously only age 18) - Unlimited quantity in inventory for player items (commissioned genes or wearable) When the list above is completed, we will shift our focus back to the highly requested reference books for genes and items! This will also tie into horse profiles in the form of hyperlinks to each gene's "book entry". I hope you all are excited about these up and coming builds! Remember, we grab almost all of our game tweaks from the suggestion area, so be sure to post your suggestions or reply to suggestions you love. The discord is great for discussion, but will likely be missed by staff :) In addition to development updates, we also have a number of new items, genes, and cash shop breeds recently released onto the game! We are shifting into a new theme for August, which is an Angelic/War emphasis; Valkyrie! Genes and wearables will continue to release all through August, which will then shift to our next theme; Moroccan Ruins! Current Cash Shop items and Spotlight Events will be cycled out on the last day of July, so be sure to grab those items while you can.
