  1. Note: Someone brought it to my attention the mid sized coop was at a messed up angle. So I tried to fix it. So it's at less of a wonky angle I hope. They were not really meant to be isometric. I didn't really mean to make it seem like they were meant to be isometric that was a mistake on my part. Very sorry for the confusion. I reduced the price.

    Nesting Box: $4  --   Small Coop: $4  --  Mid size Coop: $4

  2. Do you think a viewer/reader rooting for the bad guy the sign of a well written villain or is it a sign of poorly written protagonist?

    ----

I'm slowly trying to learn about story telling and these kinds questions fascinate me.

  3.  I hate the idea that just being exposed "bad things" will corrupt you as if you were pure by default. Maybe it's because I've gone to theory groups with adults desperately trying to pick up the pieces of their lives but I tend to think us humans are far to complex for that. There are just so many factors that go into who we are and how are shaped to be who we are.

I guess my question is; Was little Timmy going be a good person before being exposed to video games? Was the game really the spark or was he going to break down some how regardless?

  5. Clanheart kind of struck me as a site with to much trying to be achieved. That's why the fact it's so polished bothered me. It seems to want to put out a lot of quality. While wanting to put out quality and polish is important you could fall into the trap that mind set puts you. If you already invested so much into art why not just go with it? If you're not happy with the art that should have been a choice you made before investing into it. Why not do a proposed redesign and then kickstart for the rest. I'm very confused.

EDIT: On second glance. Maybe is trying for too much. Maybe it's straining under the cost? Who knows?

Edit2: Okay so here is my theory(?). People liked the familiar art style and they went through with upgrading the main pets? I was not really looking forward to going through 64 pages and chancing player's tumblers but that's what I gleemed. Weird thing about it was this post from a year ago saying they could not pay for it and didn't want to delay.

  6. I had assumed you had to have something to give people from how I saw it used by others.  I've seen a number of other artists do stuff like lock content to pay to view, some ask for a funding goal for images or comics while a few others offer PSDs among other stuff. It's kind of confusing for me because I had thought it was a tip system but i kept see artists go on about rewards even posting lists and stuff.

@kami what things do you normally sell? Like cups, button, mouse pads and what do you notice people like. What size does the image need to be?

  7. I have been wanting to make a patreon for some time but I'm not sure if I should bother. My biggest problem is I have no motivation or funds to make art. I need a new tablet and all my attempts to afford one has ended in me buying a cheap ones that fail. I would love to buy a good tablet and even be able to do clay sculpting and even work on that comic I want to make so badly. I've been buying cheap art stuff but being cheap they break easy or wear out fast. However I don't have the extra cash but know if I have anything to offer on patreon. I'm worried that in order to be suspenseful I'll have to compromise my art by doing things I do not want to make.

    • I suck at NSFW
    • I don't want to do a lot of fanart,
    • I don't want to lock content behind a pay wall
    • same as above but pay to get full picture
    • I don't really want to do a pay to fund this comic type thing

I am not popular so I don't really have anything to offer for awesome rewards and I don't want it to become a slave to making certain types of content. I'm willing to compromise to a point as long as it does not mean I am creating content just to keep it going instead of funding better content. I just do not know if I have anything to offer to inspire people to fund my future art.

  8. Personally I hate people being offended on behave of other race, genders or cultures. I think it's rather insulting to think you have a right to speak on behave of a large group of people and tell them how offended they should be. It's impossible to run into drama because people look to be offended. Be it taking things out of context or going out of their way to find something.

As for marapets they at lest went out of their way to fix some of their colours like Native making more like neopet's to a questionable degree. It's not like they can remove the pets because a upheaval.

Mental on the other hand is offensive because it presents a very outdated view of mental illness that people very much are struggling to distances from mental health. If it was say called loopy it would not be any better but mental and them having straight jackets is pretty bad. Kind of makes me worry a player see it and feel afraid to talk about their metal health. Sorry to say this but that is more dangerous to me. Maybe it's because my brother's friend killed himself when I was quite young or maybe it's my own struggles with suicidal thoughts but I take mental health very seriously. The word "crazy" is meaningless, it's a word but when your using outdated imagery of insanity with the word "mental" your drawing a clear connection to mental illness in it's worst form. Mental illness is more complex then that. See saying "crazy" is not the issue, it's the stigma that is the issue.

  9. Have you watched them really because I don't see where your coming from.  I'm 32 and I like those shows even as a adult. I really don't understand were your getting this from. Lots of kid and adults like those shows. I dont ike the idea that kids can't handle things so things need to be dumbed down.

When that happens we get truly horrible shows like teen titans go.
