  1. As you might have noticed recently, there has been a slight change in the colours chosen for the groups on here. This is to make your ranking pop, keeping in line with the vibrancy of our headers background, we hope you like the change. We have also added an exact copy of the ranking system on here with a new channel called Role-Activation on our Discord, this will allow us to make sure that we add roles to the correct users. Simply put your username in that chat, questing that your roles are activated and once we're done we'll remove your message. It's really that simple! Here is an example of the new versus the old colours scheme: If you have got any more suggestions for changes to the forums or Discord server, then feel free to direct them to me or @Digital. We'd love to hear what you think of these changes too!
  2. Yeah, I'll be able to answer any queries you all have whilst Digital is busy sorting out the move and such. Feel free to PM me on here or even or Discord, I'm always available on both. Hope that your holiday isn't too stressful @Digital, house moves are notoriously stress inducing.
  3. @Corleone Ayyyyy, it's the man himself! What's up? How you been? Long time no see.
  4. @SingSong Glad to see that a lot of people from VPL are here too. I hope you don't mind me asking though, but did you go under the same username on SingSong? I can't recall seeing you on there, though that may just be my memory being the way it is. @Anoua I'm hoping to be a great addition to the TGL Team and improve the community aspect of here greatly, it is what I loved doing on VPL after all. Thanks for the nice welcome. @Kesstryl @Pepper-Head Thank you for the welcome guys!
  5. As some of you may know, I recently became an admin here at TGL, so I wanted to start by doing some small changes on here. The discord had been looking a bit bare until recently, but I've added a few new categories/channels in order to help separate the various topics users might discuss. We now have Entertainment, Announcements and Suggestions channels in the General Chat category. As well as a dedicated Game Discussion category which has channels for RPG Games, SIM Games, Mobile Games and Virtual Pet Sites. Hopefully this update to the Discord will make it a lot easier for users to discuss topics or possible changes to TGL, but on top of that maybe add more buzz to the server itself. If you do have any suggestions then feel free to post them below, I'd love to hear them.
  6. @crotanite For me it honestly depends on what kind of role they have. Though in most cases I'd say that staff should have personal accounts that can have staff permissions added to them, that way if they quit/get removed then they'll be able to still play the game. I think the only instance is if there was a competition and it was centered around a certain NPC then I'd have a specific account for that NPC and it would be classed as staff.
  7. @SilverBrick Likewise, it's great to be a part of a team again and to engage with a community that I've spent over 10 years helping out with. And ayyy Jak, nice to see you here as well.
  8. @LIZ Depends on where you are, cause of different vat/tax laws. But if you're in the USA there is a number of places that do batch orders, say if you order 50 buttons then you can get them for $0.50 each. It works out to be pretty cheap overall and allows you to customize both size and sometimes shapes (some places do ovals, rectangles or squares).
  9. @LIZ I hope you don't mind me asking, but what quantity of buttons were you looking to make? And what budget do you have? As very often batch ordering them can be cheaper than getting the machine and you get the option of varying sizes.
  10. Yeah, a mobile compatible site would've been my first choice instead of an app. Most sites that I've played (over 30 in the past 10 years) require you zoom in a lot on your tablet/phone. I do feel that there may be other things that users would like to be made more compatible, but due to how late it is my brain isn't co-operating with me, maybe other people could think up what else may be good to work on!
  11. @Onyx Not gonna lie, I always had an interest in playing Teripets but never got the chance to experience it. It would be really nice if it was brought back as a playable game once more, cause for a lot of people it's nostalgic and brings memories. It would be sad for it to come back as just a museum piece.
  12. This is a question I've been pondering for a while whilst creating my VPS Seripets, what platforms would the audience like to play on? I know for a fact that the browser on a pc/laptop would be an option for most, but I also considered phone and tablet functionality. If you were to play it on a phone/tablet, would you want an app or a mobile compatible site? It would be really useful to hear other peoples thoughts on this.
  13. They also asked that I include this line as well. "Staff is open to continuing the project, but we would need some additional staff to get the markings art on track again, and right now we are concerned with trying to recover the lost money."
  14. The owner of ClanHeart wanted be to post this on behalf of them. "The project was delayed when the marking artist went MIA as we waited for her to complete the marking project. Unfortunately, given how long it's been since the artist touched base, and after how many emails have gone ignored, it appears the artist ran off with the money. Given the amount of time that we waited for her to finish the markings, a lot of interest and hype in CH by its staff has died off as well."
  15. @Digital I was one of the original people who worked on the list on VPL (before it was down, obviously), if you need any help then I'll happily contribute my time and services to you. I'd like to suggest that you keep the in development (alpha/beta/developing) and fully fledged sites in separate topics though, as there is a lot of both and it could get messy.
  16. If you're wondering what's happening, I'm still in contact with the owner of it (as I was the one who made the soundtrack for it) and could ask what's going on and if it's still being worked on. It's such a nice looking site too, it would be a shame if it was gone before it even had a chance to blossom.
  17. Hello all, I guess i should introduce myself properly. I'm Martyn, a retired moderator of VirtualPetList (it's down and I don't really see it coming back up), but also a pet site owner and multiple other things. I've been involved with the pet site community since about 2007, but only really took a mass interest in the documentation of in-development games and background work. I've moved to here in the hopes of re-establishing myself as someone who can help improve the community and contribute to it's growth, it's nice to see that TheGamingList is already thriving. I look forward to meeting new and possibly old members of the community (some may even know me already). You've got a nice forum here @Digital!
