It's that time of year again -- the battle of team Blue Audril, Green Trido, Red Dovu, and Yellow Sharshel is about to begin! So fill up your water bottles and put on your Team Contest-themed gear, because the competition will be starting before you know it.

If you want to sign up for the annual Team Contest, you'll have the opportunity to do so very soon. Sign-ups will open on June 5th and will remain open for a few days, so you have plenty of time to join. Be sure to keep an eye on the news!



When it comes to earning points, the Team Contest will largely remain the same. However, we do have a few changes, along with new additions! For those who are new (or simply don't remember how it works), here's a basic rundown: the four Teams are Blue Audril, Green Trido, Red Dovu, and Yellow Sharshel. Once the competition begins, Users can complete quests and restock Items to earn points for their respective Teams. At the end of the contest, the winning Team will receive some awesome prizes -- and even if you don't win, you'll have some points to spend at the Team Contest Store.



This year, restocking will include all Shops except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor. Users will receive points for restocking Items at the included Shops, but the number of points you'll earn will vary depending on the rarity of the Items you buy. Here's how many points each rarity category will reward:

Rarity 1 = 1 Point
Rarity 2 = 2 Points
Rarity 3 = 4 Points
Rarity 4 = 7 Points
Rarity 5 = 10 Points

In addition, Quests now award points based on the items being requested, rather than a set amount of points. And as usual, you can use Quest extenders to help your questing go a little smoother.





The biggest change to come with this year's Team Contest comes in the addition of a new set of Items - Chips! The Chips come in eight different varieties, the Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Team Chips.

Similar to Amourok, each Chip can be turned in to your Team Leader for a set amount of points:

Blue, Green, Red, Yellow Chips = 5 Points
Bronze Chip = 10 Points
Silver Chip = 15 Points
Gold Chip = 20 Points
Team Chip = 25 Points

Unlike Amourok, every Chip can be turned in to a Team's Leader regardless of its colour. So a player on Team Blue Audril will be able to turn in the Red Chip for 5 points, as an example.

The Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Bronze, Silver and Gold Chips will restock in all Shops (except for the Snow Jar Igloo and Port Rakor) and can be obtained as rewards from Quests. The Team Chip is a bit different - if you have a Blue, Green, Red and Yellow Chip in your Inventory, your Team Leader will have the ability to combine them to create a Team Chip!



If you want to sign up for the annual Team Contest, now's the perfect time to do it. All you need to do is leave a comment below this News Post letting us know you're interested. After you've done that, you'll be assigned a Team when the event starts. To ensure that each Team has a fair chance of winning, we'll be assigning people randomly -- however, we aim to ensure you don't get the same Team as the previous year.
