Ooh, yeah! If you're selling your game I would just make sure the new owner knows that these assets are stock and might be found on other sites. I just mean direct sales.

You're welcome and glad I could help!

Thanks for the response. I would never sell my game haha, just thought it might be a question some owners may have if they were to use your art.

    Again, thanks :-) :-)

  2. ...when I should be coding!

OK, It's a clickbait title.. I'm not actually addicted, however now you're here, I just wanted to point out an observation. I normally come on every day or every 2 days at the latest. I read everything and binge post to anything that takes my interest. I noticed on the front page this image and thought I would share the evidence of my "addiction".. O.o

  3. Hi @Hare,

Thanks! That is very generous. :):):)

I just want to clarify - "dont attempt to sell them". I assume this means selling them directly? If someone used your item on their pet site/game but then sold the pet site/game to someone else.. that would fall outside of these terms and conditions?

My game The Lost Fable currently has only a few items on it, so I'd like to re-purpose the books to add cover images etc if that is ok with you?

  4. You know my views on this, but I'm going to voice them here so they are public too.

I think it should remain as TGL, dont rebrand etc. Currently the discussion topics on here are 80% virtual pet site, and 20% other game genre development discussion.

I think keeping the focus on virtual pet sites is a good thing, however being open to expanding to other genres as more people join could also be on the table as a possibility in the future.

On behalf of everyone (most people - except for the 3 people who find other members of the community here at TGL "okay" [jokes btw]), we know you will steer us in the right direction, and we support whatever you decide to do :)

I wondered more details about this too. It said it has to be the adoptable you're customizing. I know Subeta does custom pets like this too, and there's a huge thing of rules around them to make sure people don't take advantage and use customizations to like, make their pet look like some limited special other pet. Not sure what Digital wants to do but was thinking about that.

Ah fair enough - perhaps @Digital could clarify? If it's any pet, then OMG I would sooooo use a picture of my Cat <3

So, its amazing another week has passed! So what is everyone up to this upcoming weekend?

Now that my youngest as officially entered the realm of a yearling (and he knows it), this weekend stands to be a much calmer weekend. It will be mostly household chores for me.

OMG, This weekend is going to be EPIC. My wife is going to stay with her best friend (we joke that she is my second wife haha), and she will be there from Saturday AM until Sunday PM.

Coupled with the fact that my wife also has to work Monday and I do not due to the Bank Holiday.. omg this weekend is going to be 75% coding and 25% Gaming* (Factorio / Rainbow Six Seige). I am hoping to get ALOT done this weekend <Needs to turn of TGL notifications... lol>

*NB: My 15 years experience in web development have taught me my ideal pattern:: For me, it's important to break coding into 3-4 hours per session with an hour or so of gaming. This allows for maximum concentration and output from me during the coding time haha :D

  7. Is it possible to customise it?

If yes, perhaps you could also add links to all the relevant guides (Community Guidelines, Adoptables Guide etc) ?

When i first joined, i remember this post was was the FIRST thing i read, since it was my first notification.

I wish this is one I had control over, however I have no control over the default option. This is probably due to the fact that the forums are an additional package, where status updates are included in the core set of features.

Ah ok fair enough, that makes sense.

Perhaps throw a one-liner JS into there to auto click it once on page load <innocently walks away - I didnt say anything :P > haha :P

Congrats @Nate! I think I'm not too far behind that goal myself XD

Haha yep, you're on 170 at the time of writing this. Hope you catch up soon

Haha, there are plenty of topics to reply to, and more being added every day. The trick is to just participate, not really dive too deeply into the conversations, but to be part of them. You don't have to be a complete expert to contribute on any topic :)

Dude, seriously. You need to have the "LIKE" button on your posts cos there is so many times that I want to agree with your post but I dont have anything to add that is worth adding a reply for.

PS, or i could simply reply: <"LIKES" @Digital's post>  (lol)

  10. 127 questions is alot of questions... if it were 5-10 then I'd probably do it, but 127, one per page..

My other concerns are the sneaky ways in which you are gathering information from people. Irrelevant or identifiable information is gathered in this survey, couple that with the users IP, using the data gathered in the survey it wouldnt be impossible to correctly identify that person - especially developers - and then trick their host/lawyer/"password recovery answers" on their email.

Coupled with only 18 people have filled this survey in... I would suggest to others reading this be careful with what information you provide - especially since the questions seem to target specifically developers of games.

"What is your highest school level/degree completed"
"Do you name yours pets after your real pet?"
    "What is your household income"
"How many team members do you have?"
    "Do you pay them?"
"How much do you pay them?"
"What are the contract terms you have with your team members?"
"How much money is your game making per month?"
"How much money are you spending on costs per month?"
"Have you approached a lawyer about your game?"
    "How much do they cost?"
    "Who was it?"

@Nate Yeah, no kidding, haha! I've been pretty good, things are turning around for the best I think! What about yourself? I remember you ha mentioned working with a horse sim the last time we spoke, is that something you are still working on now, or have you pursued other endeavors?

Ah good good  Glad to hear things are turning around for the best :) I'm great - I've been involved with a few sites here and there but nothing glued me or got me interested, so a few years ago I made the decision to make my own virtual pet site. I'm planning on opening it in a few months :D
