  1. @Niabi I hope you're not offended by the existence of this thread -- Please know I don't think anyone was trying to insult staff's efforts, we were simply interested in what was going on, as we're a forum made up of petsite enthusiasts. What you've said here in your response echoes throughout the screenshots, and I have high expectations for FF's continued popularity with a new owner.

    Good luck!

  2. An interesting series of screenshots, thanks for sharing. I haven't been on FF in ages.

According to the news, Slash (also owner of its 'sister site' Aywas) owns FelisFire, but had signed over management to @Cybura (aka Lyro) to run the kickstarter and manage the entire site fully and without oversight, I believe. So the downtime and any issues aren't Slash's fault.

  3. I can vouch for @koafox's coding skills! I don't know where Novilar would be today without them. An invaluable asset to a team, they've never paused communication without first giving a really good reason and a time frame for their return (which has never been long at all), and their code has only been improving with time. Good for professionalism and some quality dev work.

The sun is blazing as we take to the Savannah to celebrate Lion and his majestic (and at times, dangerous) region within Novilar. Three new option events have been released in Lion's realm! Explore the Savannah to encounter an aardwolf, a rather dirty zebra, or a mysterious tree. These contain a few new items as well, so choose wisely, and you may take home a rare Beetle minipet (hint: I hear they're arboreal) or a wheat stalk HA wearable.

We are also pleased to announce MasterDaye (#2813) as our newest Skin of the Month winner! Congratulations on a lovely Deluxe Lion Skin! As always, the winning skin will be stocking in the Festival Stall for this month only, after which it will retire forever. Make sure not to miss out!

Definitely never be suckered into sending payment via friend/family. That's a lot of money to lose. I hope you can get this sorted out.

@Cybura Please never use "friends and family" for paid work on PayPal. Not only can your account be frozen because of it, but it also de-legitimizes you as a freelancer.

Keep in mind, without a following to start, you're most likely going to see little to no success with it. Not trying to bring you down, just speaking from experience in both myself and what I've seen of others. You'll have to be pretty knowledgeable and skilled with marketing to build a successful page.

    ^ This.

It doesn't sound like Patreon would be the best fit for you - if you're just looking for extra funds / motivation to draw, making merch for Redbubble in your free time would be a much better option. Make sure your files are at a large enough size (depends on the product) and 300 dpi and you should be good to go.

  7. We try to lay out the rules as clearly as possible, and then moderate from there. I do take intent and attitude into account when moderating, and tend to have a gentle hand when issuing punishments. If someone has accidentally taken advantage of a bug, I'll simply take away the accidental gold/items and then let them know what's going on. If they've broken a rule and are apologetic and making efforts to fix it, that's a very different story than someone who's actively harassing someone else or are belligerent in their rule-breaking.

I try to be friendly with everyone, as long as they're willing to work with me on issues :)
