  1. For me personally, it's a mixed bag. I tend to pick out the colors I want for shading and highlights, but I often do use multiply for pet site art, and sometimes to enhance the shading of multiple areas with one color. I like this technique sometimes, but it doesn't work on multiple items so well if there is a large difference in the values.

I have been involved with making art for pet sites since I was in high school, and I'm 27 years old now. IRL, even with a college degree in art, I'm finding it difficult to find any kind of job that helps me to feel happy and makes use of my passion. It has been difficult, and I worked several boring jobs for five years. I was recently let go from my last job of 1.5 years (not for a bad reason) and I decided to come back here after all these years.

I have been met with nothing but positivity, wonderful people, and WORK!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to you guys, and to TGL, for giving me a place to come to. I really appreciate you guys, and I think you are all super nice and fun! You are all so passionate, and you're all working on amazing things. It warms my heart and makes my inner little nerd kid happy. God bless y'all! If you ever need someone to talk to or you just want to be friends, please feel free to add me on Discord! Kerpow#4917

     I ❤️ TGL!

I need this bumper sticker, BTW.

    What an interesting style.

I think people are looking more for items than pets. Items tend to be cheaper and more adaptable than pets.

Can you possibly update your post with Pricing and Payment methods?

My apologies, I haven't gotten to this yet, but I'm going to do it now.

Cute sketches, I really like the style!

I would think that sketches are easier than completed animal/npc art due to them being easier to adapt to specific styles. It might be worth (or fun) investigating, though, no? ;D

Best of luck, I hope they all find good homes!

Thank you! I think doing some item sketches will be a good second step for this. :)

  6. Yes, I was saying about $90 for a background. Is that a reasonable price? I'm trying to figure out how to price things.

I was saying $30-40 for a small background sample like you have listed below the full background... but some of these are more simple and so I guess $20-40 is more accurate.

  7. I might be interested! I have been doing a lot of digital painting lately.

    Here are some examples:

As far as pricing goes, I haven't really got established prices yet. I can throw something at you and see if you like it. I'm assuming it would take me about 4 hours to do a full background like you have at the top, so about $90

And for a small segment like you have below, copying the style, I could do for about $30-40

Please let me know what you think! Thank you. :)

Yes, I will do that, hopefully soon. Maybe I can do it today. I don't have any set prices ATM but I can definitely whip up a list.
