Updated with entries by @glitch, @Coroax, @hurricaneviolet, @jakdacrowe, @Sparren, and @SingSong. I kinda lost track of this older thread, so dusting it off.
Also found links for all the ones that were missing, two I could not find links for. Also, if the community would not mind helping me classify which categories these fit into that would help a lot too, I filled in the ones that were obvious in my quick organization!

This is an impressive and super helpful list :3 I always like checking out some new games here and there. I occasionally play or have played some of these. Howrse can be mobile but doesn't have to be and I also belong to Northern Call and Asmundr. I've played Flight Rising and Lioden before but haven't back in quite awhile.
I also used to play a game called Wolf Play Game... but due to some misunderstandings between their game and mine, my account got banned and has yet to be released, but I did do some artwork for them.
I also did some artwork for Beast Keepers, some of the wild beasts you find and fight, so that's cool :3

I was one of the original people who worked on the list on VPL (before it was down, obviously), if you need any help then I'll happily contribute my time and services to you. I'd like to suggest that you keep the in development (alpha/beta/developing) and fully fledged sites in separate topics though, as there is a lot of both and it could get messy.

That is a good idea, as the list is getting large it could probably be due to be cleaned up into in-dev and fully fledged.
Wulves (www.wulves.com) is another one! I had completely forgotten about this one. I had bought an alpha membership when the game first came out, and unfortunately I don't think the game has been worked on much recently. Which is a shame, because you can tell there was a LOT of time put into the artwork.

Also, clanheart is considered dead, it is pretty much waiting to be shut down right now I think.

I've got confirmation about the situation with ClanHeart from the owner and it's a bit more complicated than it first seems, I wouldn't go as far to say as it should be shutdown but it might eventually come to that. I'll put it on the new list that it's In Development but currently in Hiatus mode.

I've got confirmation about the situation with ClanHeart from the owner and it's a bit more complicated than it first seems, I wouldn't go as far to say as it should be shutdown but it might eventually come to that. I'll put it on the new list that it's In Development but currently in Hiatus mode.

The co-owner is unfortunately having health issues and other real life priorities, bless her, so they decided to shut it down@Noromtigel

We are currently still in beta but making strides...so many changes yet to come new layout though and interactions are a thing. While we are under maintenance from the 15th to the 18th while our developer/Alchemist works her magics we are still open to registration and I personally accept each and every member. After our beta period, hopefully not much longer, registration will be automated.
