✦ What is the Lost Realm?
Once a year, a mysterious realm appears in the Lyth. No one knows when or how it came to be, only that it’s not normally accessible to Lythians; even those with a decent grasp on inter-realm teleportation can’t seem to get to it when it doesn’t want to be found.
However, when it is available, the Lost Realm is accessible to everyone, and isn’t actually as scary as its name makes it out to be! It’s only colloquially called that because of its inhabitants, who call themselves “eidolons.” They are like ghosts, but not in the same way that Igalyphs are. These are lost souls with no memory of a past life and no ability to teleport. In fact, it is uncertain if they are (or rather, were) Lythians at all.
Rumor has it that they may be from an entirely different universe...

One resident of the Lost Realm who is presumed to be a Lythian is the one known as the Ringleader. She appears to have been a Gryfon in her past life, given the helmet covering her face, the large forepaws, and pair of ethereal wings. However, much like an eidolon, she has no memory and cannot leave the realm. The Ringleader only remembers waking up to a voice whispering in her ear, telling her to collect lost souls and provide them a place to live, something she still dutifully performs to this day. Alongside this task, she also runs the Haunted Faire, giving her the moniker “the Ringleader.”
✦ What is the Haunted Faire?
As previously mentioned, eidolons aren’t that scary. In fact, they’re quite cute!

They may be a little off-putting or awkward around Lythians, but most chalk it up to cultural differences. Overall, eidolons are just curious creatures who want to know about what’s out there! In an attempt to be welcoming to outsiders, they’ve set up a large fairground that spans across most of the realm. It’s filled with fun activities like a mirror maze, apple bobbing, face painting, and more!
The ghosts manage everything and make sure everything is in tiptop shape for the visitors. The only payment they ask for in return is that the faire-goers share their stories! Because they’re unable to teleport, they’re curious about what’s out there, therefore, will quickly crowd around any Lythian who stops to share a tale with them. Eidolons are also especially delighted when their visitors dress up, because they love to see the various fashions from across the realms. In fact, they request it so much — often pestering those who’re not in costume to teleport back and change — that it’s become customary for everyone coming to the Lost Realm to pick an outfit beforehand!
✦ On the Fairgrounds
The Haunted Faire is home to a number of activities, which can all be found here at any time! Be sure to visit the Lost Realm and take part in this year’s Costume Contest, daily Apple Bobbing, and other daily prompts available in Ink’s Tent!
You can increase your familiarity with the Lost Realm itself by taking part in its Realm Familiarity quests. Everyone may claim one free key via the current giveaway, which will grant your account access to the realm. Be sure to use it on the Lythian you would like to use for the realm prompts! You can potentially get more keys by having your other Lythians participate with the key-owning Lythian in General Realm quests for the Lost Realm (basically submit a work with both of them involved). However, Familiarity Quests must still be undertaken alone unless collaborating with someone else.
Don’t forget to spend your earned Faire Tickets from the event’s activities over in the Ringleader’s faire stall for event-only rewards, and look for crafting recipes using Haunted Faire ingredients.
✦ The Haunted Faire Prompts
As its own realm, The Lost Realm contains both General Realm Prompts and Realm Familiarity Prompts, which can be found on the realm’s page (key required on at least on Lythian to view).
You can turn in as many prompts as you would like to earn Faire Tickets!
Submit them via the ARPG submit form under "Event Prompt" and request Faire Tickets as your currency instead of Loonoles — tickets are earned at a 1:1 ratio to Loonoles.
They must be turned in by October 31st, 2020 @ 23:59:59 EST to be eligible for rewards!
✦ Rewards
Completing at least one Realm Quest (Familiarity or General) gives you “The Haunted Faire” achievement!
Instead of Loonoles, you will earn Faire Tickets to be spent in the special event shop, based on the piece(s) you submit.
Remember to claim the bonus + 5 (Event Quest) Faire Tickets for Realm Quests! (These are not applied to the simpler Drawtober prompts, however)
