  1. You go everyone <3 Thank you for listing the results so far, I'm not as low as I thought!
  2. Before VPL went down, I had begun combing through the approved artists and there were a lot of really old accounts, or ones with only a post or so. I had spent maybe 3 hours purging and I had only just gotten through a couple of letters with the usernames organized alphabetically. (I think to H) So just as a tip, you'd want to keep on top of that! But I agree with Hare in the sense that it was usually pretty easy to find out who was active and looking for work anyway.
  3. @Callum - Yup, it started making its way in about two years ago. Spearheaded by a few big companies like Walgreens (where I work) and some brands like M&Ms
  4. No problem, we had already talked a little in some other forums Oh who am I kidding, we know each other already <3 No biggie! I'm so excited for Kasa to open - and especially glad that you'll be there <3 You're always welcome to hit me up with critique if you come across anything, I always respect your insight C:
  5. That's awesome to hear <3 Woooo~! Gonna be nice to see those numbers rise even more
  6. I recently got back into one of the old pet games I used to play in middle school as a way to kind of waste time and enjoy myself. For the month of March and for the first time, they were fundraising for Red Nose Day - a charity you might be familiar with if you're from the UK (and they've slowly started making their way into the US.) They started donating 1/3 of their sales of the cash shop currency, but I guess they got enough sales that they upped it to 2/3 after two weeks! The prizes for donating were some sprite recolors and costumes, which is a nice incentive but not necessary or really amazing. So it was a great effort of the community to do something nice rather than purely an incentive for the game! https://pokefarm.com/ https://www.rednoseday.com/ To give you a bit of an idea of the size of the site, it typically has an average of 600-1,000 users online at a time.
  7. Sweeet! Grow grow grow! Before today, I currently I have my corgi bud at 6 power, and my lizard friend at 0.
  8. I may be able to participate some, sure!
  9. I'm currently working on my BFA in Illustration. Art is another one of those things that you don't need a degree in and the cost is pretty steep, but the access to great technology, knowledgeable and helpful professors, and endless employer visits and workshops help to justify the cost (scholarships help too haha). I've improved leaps and bounds and I'm hoping that takes me far when it comes time to employment!
  10. RB is pretty good, I've ordered two prints and a laptop case from them and the print quality was really nice Another pretty good place to shop is teepublic.com - they only show t-shirts on display but you can actually choose posters and the like from them too. I've ordered two tanktops from them that were really lovely! I hope to get more too. Thought I'd list them in case they have a sale or an artist posted something there that you liked instead ;)
  11. Alright! Got my new little friends - I can't wait to hatch and grow them! Thanks for the speedy implementation
  12. I'd love to! I'll see if I have some time in the next few days - is it pretty open-ended or do you have any specific things in mind you want?
  13. Definitely a good game If you do end up waiting a bit, maybe you can snag a preowned and save a few dollars!
  14. YES I was actually thinking of making a post for this! The only negatives SO FAR that I can think of is that there was a glitch at the start where your health wouldn't regenerate on its own, and then sometimes the character's facial expressions could mess up a bit (but it hasn't happened to me a lot and it's to be expected with an expansive game like this.) Some of the expressions are really great though and there's a lot of attention to detail! I'm loving the gameplay, it's so smooth and intuitive for me. I haven't tried all of the different weapons, but I pick them up fast! I also like how they separate quests into main, errand, bandit camp sighting, etc and how nothing feels like repetitive grinding. Really this game is pretty breathtaking for me - but then again I'm a huge Monster Hunter nut and I needed that itch from MH3 scratched again. Plus a little post apoc setting fills some TLOU needs before the sequel comes out Also I really love how they're telling the story from what I've played so far I'm gonna stop here before I babble on, but this is one of the games that makes me glad I invested in a PS4!
  15. Is it sad that I know exactly which piece you're talking about? <3 The prints are beautiful! The bigger, the better! I already have two, and I can't wait to save up for another one! My favorites are the ones with "creatures" in them, but honestly I love every piece he does.
  16. Thank you for the welcome! My brother had the old GBA games and I was hooked then! The first Pokemon game I ever owned was the Pokemon Puzzle Challenge. I would pick that game up and play it all day in a heartbeat, even now. And I ??? just learned it's for the 3DS??? ... Well I know where my next splurge money is going As for Simon Stalenhag, here's his website! http://www.simonstalenhag.se/ It's really amazing works, but then when you look at his closeups...... it's amazing how much detail is constructed from pretty vague strokes. Especially on areas like roads that seem to have a lot of depth but actually are pretty simply done!
  17. I think any option could be successful, depending on its execution It's all on how it makes the player feel. So if your game was focused on taking down bosses, then you'll want to put a big emphasis on that. Make it a big deal!!! Make it shout to the player that they did it, and give them bonuses to reflect that, make the rewards screen feel awesome But if your game is about the treasure at the end, build the player up with a challenge and then make it all special at the end so it truly feels like a worthwhile accomplishment. The channel Extra Credits on YT has a treasure trove of helpful info, but off the top of my mind this might be helpful: Intrinsic vs Extrinsic There's a lot out there though!
  18. Leo over here! Though tbh, I don't think I match up very well to the whole needing to be the center of attention thing, hehe. But I'm really loyal!
  19. I absolutely love sneaking little tidbits around (like in item descriptions), and I definitely hope to do that in multiple areas in Kasaria. While you explore, you can chat with NPCs hanging around on the maps. To give this some purpose, some will initiate quests, while others might tell you of a rumor they heard or talk about something else that might prompt players to investigate for hidden locations or secrets. Sometimes it might be as innocent as discovering a connection between two different NPCs in two different areas! I hope with time, this can continue to develop and I can swap out some of the dialog choices to keep it fresh. We'll also have readable books, and some will directly inform about the planet's flora, fauna, myths, etc for a more direct approach
  20. I'm about to launch my own game, Kasaria, if you were interested in an interview for that!
  21. Hello there, thought I'd finally actually post an intro thread I'm Pepper. Been a fan of pet sites for a long long time, and that spark has never left me. I love how many different kinds of people this community draws in and I want to be a part of what keeps it going <3 For the past few years, I've been working on my own game - Kasaria.net! I'm extremely excited and anxious for its beta launch in about 32 days! But for some actual about me infos! I'm a junior Illustration Major at SCAD, I live with my roommate's two rascally adorable chunky cats Pedro and Frank, I absolutely love plushies (Kikidoodle's Purrmaids, Naomi Romero's Corgis, basically anything Magnastorm, etc), and I've recently developed an obsession for posters! My favorites are the preorder bonuses for the game Horizon Zero Dawn, some ones I've bought at conventions, and two from Swedish artist Simon Stalenhag (look him up pls omg). I also have a ridiculously large one of two alligators with their snouts close and open in a smile that I got from Hobby Lobby for $2 Unfortunately, my busy school and work schedule doesn't give me much time to play games, but whenever I get free moments before sleep I'll play some Pokemon or do my quick dailies on Flight Rising. I hope I can change that soon! Looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, and meeting some new ones! Please say hi!
  22. Shared on Twitter and followed! (The account looks like it's going great! ) Where do I link my Twitter account? I only see an option for FB, G+, and LinkedIn in my account settings.
  23. I might be able to participate if it was kept monthly, otherwise I might only be able to join in every other competition and I wouldn't wanna miss out! Sounds like a great way to collect multiple reviews in a friendly and fun environment though What if each round there was a common goal players could work towards? It might help to give some motivation if people are having a hard time finding what to work towards in a game, and could be a good way to judge how far everyone got. Ah also, I'm inclined to want to stay away from game challenges that need to be purchased to participate if it rewards an exclusive adopt. Not sure if I 100% understand the forum adoptable thing yet though, and it sounds like that would be a future thing anyway - but just throwing some discussion in there about it!
  24. Oh wow, that's an impressive number! They all look lovely <3 Thank you 100x for making them compact and about the same size as the text. That's one of my biggest pet peeves is when they stick out too much so these are perfect!
