  1. Hi there! Congratulations on your game! I'm a long time player of many different sims before ever co-owning a game, which was bought already established. I plan to begin development of a game of my own soon, but that's another story. My thoughts on the forum is that I personally prefer them, rather than connecting through other sites! I suppose it's because I grew up chattering with friends on a game's forum that I grew attached to the idea. However, I do see the problem with them, the need for moderation. So I suppose it comes down to preference! I'm not sure what would be a middle-ground for those that do like forums, besides perhaps a chatroom or a Discord widget. So, Some things I look for when I first try out a new game is the pets. The designs and the complexity to the genetics, mostly. The genetics can be a huge hit or miss for me. Too basic and I get bored, too complicated and I get overwhelmed and don't even try. (Basically if genetics are a long line of alphabet soup, I'm out.) The designs is another field of issues: It's impossible to make pets that everyone will like. Unless it is a site that is based around one animal (Lioden/Wolvden) you'll need something unique, or so classic that everyone will click with the concept. (I suppose this really comes down to the artist(s) so I'll move on!) Some things that drive me away is very visible bugs. No game is completely bug free, however if something leaks through to the layout and/or obstructs basic game play for a long duration, it's a problem. I understand working on something and plan to patch it quick, but if you leave it to fester then I don't usually want to donate. This all comes down to work ethics however, so it's a very situational opinion. I was a Wolvden beta tester so that made me see first hand the importance of having a handful of testers and a strong communication with what's being worked on and what's been fixed. Paying for pets isn't a big deal for me, (My site has a few donation currency breeds) but I can see how most might not like it. There may be few who can't donate, or raising the breed might become difficult with limited studding resources. I personally haven't gotten into any legal conflicts, thankfully. It's important to keep your Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service to be plainly constructed but very thorough with all that it covers. Cliques are a big deal in games, which will probably be eliminated without the forum around, but they certainly can make socializing unappealing for people starting out. (Personal experience) More drama can come from choices of administration. Example, you decide to introduce an NPC, however a player points out there is a bit of appropriation going on that wasn't intentional. So it's important to consider things broadly and respectfully. (Back when Lioden released the Rumble marking, there was an uproar about trypophobia and even epileptic seizures, so even small things like a marking need to be considered.) That's all I have for now. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and if you need any assistance with testing I can help with that too.
  2. Still looking for estimates and possible programmers for these
  3. Hi all! I'm looking to add some features to Leviathan Myth. First off the more important of the two, a dragon appearance wardrobe. Something like you would see on Lioden/Wolvden LM current has 12 dragon breeds, a slow addition of age stages, 64ish colors for both markings + bases and counting, 17 markings, 8 eye colors, 2 piebald mutations, albinism, 2 variations of socks for each limb, and the coding for face masks (Not yet applied in art). The numbers on these are always changing as we adapt to more colors and markings, so it would need to be very flexible with adding onto it. We already have dragon images generating to specific genetics on their pages, but the purpose of the wardrobe is to see new color combos without having to breed them first and to see what markings and colors might look like on other breeds. We also have plans for decor/apparel and backgrounds, sometime in the future. LM is coded in PHP. We don't have an urgent schedule so we are very flexible with a timeframe. But any quotes would be appreciated and if you have any further questions feel free to reach out to me here on TGL or on Discord @ Azrael#8121. ______ Second feature which is also not an urgent task, would be human avatars. I'm not going to show a specific example as you can find variations of HAs on several sites, but one I'm most thinking of would be Dappervolk. We'll have feminine, masculine, and neutral bases, several skin tones and facial features, and an endless selection of clothing. (Which will be inventoriable items) A clothing trial section before confirming your looks will be preferred, but not absolutely necessary. Again if you or someone you know might be up to the task, feel free reaching out to me!
  4. SAI is my primary drawing program and PS Elements is my secondary, But when it comes to shading I tend to use the same techniques. I use several layers for different reasons, First I start out with the base flat colors, then use darker tones of those flat colors on a different layer, then do a layer of lighter colors. Then I move onto using a black color but with the 'overlay' layer setting as my main shading. I'm told to never use black in shading, but for me it tends to look really nice when used under Overlay. From there I use another overlay layer for light, and mess around with other layers until it looks nice. Here's some examples of what the end results tend to look like under the cut! I tend to never use the multiply option, but I'm not opposed to it either! I'm interested to see what they can do with it.
  5. An update that I am still available for hire! I have lowered the price of each item to $4 USD and I'm willing to negotiate on bulk orders! Also here is some more of my latest works.
  6. Revan and I were long term players and friends before we purchased Leviathan Myth, and our team consists of other long term players, and/or significant others. There are seven of us at the moment, Three programmers, two artists, a mod that doubles as a writer, and a second mod who has only been playing for less than a year but we knew them from another site we moderate on. But all in all I consider us all good friends and I wouldn't trade them for the world.
  7. The art dump is amazing! I can definitely see you improving too! Best of luck with offers. ?
  8. I just wanted to say a big thank you for what you have done here, Digital. I like to sit by and watch threads quietly, but I definitely feel a sense of community here, Though I haven't been here very long. I wish you the best in your future! And while I am interested in the idea of the ownership position, I unfortunately don't have the funds at the moment. So, Best of everything to the future owner!
  9. It really depends on the type of site it is, like for an equine sim you'll need bags of feed, tack, treats, grooming tools, and general food items like apples and carrots. Fantasy gets a little tricky, but you can't go wrong with different foods, even make up your own foods, which I've seen personally you're really good with! Something my games need is things you'll find hidden in the woods, like sticks, acorns, pinecones, stones, minerals, small animals. These are just ideas to get your imagination going. I don't know for sure what's most needed out there, but I wish you the best of luck!
  10. Very exciting! I've very excited to register and play. ?

  14. Knocked the price of the shrooms down and added some cheap miscellaneous things just to get rid of them!
  15. Hi I'm Azrael, I currently make assets for my own two games that are in development, but sometimes I like making things that don't quite fit. None right now! Feel free to PM me. Preferred form of payment is Paypal. Thank you!
  16. Ooh this is very helpful! Thank you both!
  17. Hi I'm Azrael, I've been lurking around TGL for a while now and I really appreciate how kind and supportive everyone is! So here's the deal, My good friend Revan and I bought Design1online's Pet Game Framework. And while we've been waiting on that to be finished, I've been completing art assets for the our game while Revan preps herself to be lead admin and coder. While we're not giving out any details for a long while, at least until PGF is done, We have a team and we're near ready to begin our journey as a pet sim. However, I have a personal quest spurred on by my realization that I'll be an admin someday. I want to learn how to code. I know very little HTML thanks to my years playing sims and designing my own layouts, But I want to learn more. I'm currently looking into CodeAcademy and may take some beginning courses on HTML and CSS there. But I was wondering, Where are some good online sources for starting out? And what languages should I tackle first? Any help would be appreciated!
  18. Looking real nice, I love it. ?
