  1. We have a very large update today! At least, we have a very large companion to start the update off with. Do you find yourself attracting a vast amount of Kite Goldies when fishing? Well, it could be a sign from a higher being. The Grand Royal Kitefish and Grand Dream Kitefish will join your Enivi if you can collect 100 Kite Goldies (each). These giant companions can be obtained via crafting. To give some perspective; We expect more variations of these will show themselves soon. Happy Fishing! LOVELY BASE AND MARKINGS COLOR The Lovely base color has been added to our Art Packs for easy use. Your Enivi can now be a wonderful shade of pink. You'll just need to use a color-change potion to make it happen. We've also pre-made Appaloosa, Tiger Stripes, Pangare, and Badger Mask in the new, Lovely color. PEARLS FOR YOUR LOVED ONES We've added the beautiful Pearl Necklace accessory for your Enivi's fancy night out. It comes in four variations; Pearl Necklace, Pink Pearl Necklace, Rainbow Pearl Necklace, and Black Pearl Necklace. These can all be found in our Art Packs, and will restock in the Unique Boutique! MORE LOVE! For the rest of the month the Lovely My Sweet Enivi can be grabbed for your collection! Lovely MSE will be found randomly in Sophie's Shoppe. Add them to your collection while you can! SWAN WINGS Swan Wings have been added to the game and art packs. You'll be able to get Swan Wings through a variety of Prompts and through Mysterious Slime (which you can earn randomly through racing and exploring). They're a very romantic touch for your Enivi. SITE UPDATES Finally, a few smaller site updates we've made this week; All items that need to be opened for use now have a small open chest in their icon. The exception is the Gachapon capsules. We've removed common base applicators as they served little purpose. If you had one in your inventory, we've replaced it with a Color Change Potion. We've added a variety of emojis to the Discord server. We'll begin hosting Flash Prompts on the Discord server this week. Be sure to check it out! Want to know what's coming next? Check out our Patreon! Not a member of Keepers of Eniv? Check us out at KeepersofEniv.com! Keepers of Eniv is a fantasy ARPG meets SIM game. Create your first Enivi using our art packs, then grow them through a series of art prompts, customize them with our easy to use items, markings, and traits, and meet new friends in our active and inviting community. We can't wait to see you there!
  2. It's hot. It's humid. Let's hit the beach! The Beach Party Update includes a few accessories to make your beach day perfect. From a Classic Beach Ball and Blue Striped Towel to the lovely Summer's End Bouquet, you're bound to find something to enhance your Enivi! Other Updates We've updated the navigation bar to be more user-friendly. We've fixed the bug in the Beauty Contest that kept some players from being able to enter or vote. We've fixed the bug that kept the Fishing game from refreshing. Lures are now free to purchase at Sophie's Shoppe. For the part of the community that's been asking, we've been having meetings about opening up different funding avenues for the site going forward. You'll likely see some of those appear soon, but we're dedicated to ensuring the game doesn't end up pay-to-play or pay-to-win. As an off-site note, Keepers of Eniv is currently open for Kickstarter Backers, but will be opening for the general public in September. Join our Discord Server to weigh in, keep track, and get alerts for our membership openings!
  3. Yeah she's absolutely fantastic. I'm looking forward to your Kickstarter being a success and coloring some horses!
  4. Yeah, I backed this. The line art for these is really nice. I'm wondering if Ell did it or if they hired on another artist. Whoever it was, they did a really fantastic job.
  5. For myself, I know that the majority of what I need are useful items like scrolls, books, and weapons. Less so much on food, but that's just speaking for me.
  6. A Small Update We're currently at 86% funded and looking good to be fully funded by the end of the weekend! Thanks so much to everyone who has been sharing and backing us. The team is very excited and we're really looking forward to bringing you a stellar game!
  7. I'm back with a few updates! The Kickstarter Our Kickstarter is now 35% funded! We have a (reliable) backer who will fund the rest if we can make it to the $600 mark (60%), so we've added a few additional pieces to tempt everyone into Backing or upping their pledge. Many of our members are coming from our old community, World of Eniv. They're the owners of our "Legacy" Enivi. For an additional $5 they can get an Enivi Transfer Token, which will allow them to transfer 1 Enivi onto the new base via one of our Official Staff Artists. For an additional $10 you can add a Druaesi Make-Your-Own as a reward. An Ancient Sprout will allow you to create your own rare, plant-based Enivi! Coding We're happy to say that the site is currently up and functional! The additional features we're adding will likely need to be funded after the KickStarter, though we do have a few currently in the works that we're excited to show off when they're finished. Currently, all our user profiles, character profiles, links, sign-up, login, shops, and items are all ready to go. Artwork Some new item artwork, gene templates, and site-art has been created and put to use. There are some examples below. We're really excited for the opportunity to have this game become a reality, and we're so thankful for everyone's support - be it in the form of backing us on Kickstarter or spreading the word. Thank you all so much!
  8. Haha! I can attest to CE's forums being active. With the art requests, forum games, and general convo you got a poppin' community on there. I guess I hadn't really thought about just how much people used the forums, even in hand with your Discord.
  9. That's a really good way of looking at it. I've gotten mixed things about forums from my own community, and started to wonder just how important they are, but these are good points. Granted, our community isn't like... Flight Rising sized so scamming hasn't been a big issue (yet? Don't wanna jinx myself).
  10. What the title says! How important do you think forums are for a VPS? If there's an active Discord server, are forums even needed anymore?
  11. Oh wow. I wish I needed something in your style. I'm just gonna comment here to bump and help you gain some traction. Your work is absolutely beautiful!
  12. I was looking on here for a while but didn't get any response on here. This person does ARPG rollers if all you need is a basic roller; http://www.livard.com/contact.html I'm not sure if they're still open for them or not, it was just a resource I found on my journey that wasn't quite what I needed, but maybe it's something you do?
  13. Thanks very much! We're pretty excited about the updates and upgrades, and having the community return in full
  14. In 2017 "World of Eniv" was created as a simple ARPG between friends. In 2019 we started our journey into making this into a fully fledged game. 2020 put a bit of a stall on development, but we've been working hard and are finally ready to announce our new name and big relaunch. What is Keepers of Eniv? Keepers of Eniv is a free-to-play ARPG meets SIM game. You begin your journey with a single "Enivi", build a herd, and explore and unlock new areas of the world. When you start you can choose one of three Enivi clans; The Mighty Ortusi Warriors The Wise Lunaesi Scholars The Magical Vespiri Oracles Later in the game you can find and unlock more Enivi cultures, like the elusive Druaesi druids, whose bodies are made entirely of living plants. Build your character and earn points through creative storytelling, sculpture, or painting. You can also play in a traditional SIM game style and earn points through minigames, contests, and our marketplace. Customization comes in two ways. Traditional SIM game players can have their first Enivi created randomly after selecting a clan and color palette. Artist players can use our Art Packs to create and customize their Enivi with more of a personal touch, though these packs are created with the intent that even a beginning artist can use these and the guide to create their dream Enivi. As the game goes on, you can earn and purchase new genes, skins, horns, tails, and more, and apply them to your Enivi to change their profile image. We also have a wide variety of wardrobe and accessory options. As of writing this, we have over 100 customization options, not including recolors. Companions Companions are pets or familiars that can be equipped to an Enivi to give them special boosts and abilities. Thunderbees will tend to Thunderbee Hives and give honey that increases an Enivi's Combat Power. Void Crows give resistance and an edge against the creatures in the Dark Forest. While Companions can be purchased from the shop keep, the more rare and valuable ones are found questing, alchemy, and special events. Item Collecting and Upgrading Been having good luck in random events and questing, but have just too many simple items? Combine or upgrade them for more options! Items can be merged to upgrade into stronger versions of the item they were previously, or into something new entirely. Most items are also wearable and can be easily ported into your Enivi's profile image. Lore and Locations The world of Eniv is a wide and wonderous place, and to make it feel that way we've packed it full of colorful lore and locations. Each Enivi clan has their own area, deity, and storytelling. The lore behind each of these areas reflects in the illustrations showing it, as well as the Enivi themselves. Whether it's the jungle of the Ortusi or the seaside Vespiri, we're happy to keep you entertained and intrigued by the history of each area. Self Care and Giving Back Keepers of Eniv has always had a larger focus on care for self and community. Many of our achievements, quests, and goals are based around giving back to your local community, taking care of yourself, and taking care of the world around you. These tasks can be as simple as drinking water or picking up trash to something larger like volunteering your time at a soup kitchen or donating to charity. We host regular charity events in which special genes, Enivi, and Companions are released to encourage members to participate. Our Kickstarter While the site has much of it's coding and artwork completed, there are still a few assets we'd like to create and some features we'd like to add before our big relaunch. We're also committed to paying our staff at a fair rate, and having as few "volunteers" as possible. If the game sounds like something you'd enjoy, please check out our Kickstarter! Our donation rewards range from a variety of Make-Your-Own character tokens (which allow you to create another Enivi from the clan of your choosing) to special Kickstarter-only skins and companions. Don't have funds to help? Please consider joining our Discord Server or following us on Twitter or Instagram. Every little bit helps the game improve. We're looking forward to seeing you at the relaunch of Keepers of Eniv!
  15. Hey everyone! I've owned an ARPG for a long while now and we're working on automating much of the process. With this we're switching our process over to LoreKeeper ( https://github.com/corowne/lorekeeper ), but it doesn't fulfill some of our needs. Breeding Roller Our genetic system is based on rarity rather than genes, with 5 categories; Free (100% chance of inherit) Common (75% chance of inherit) Uncommon (50% chance of inherit) Rare (25% chance of inherit) Legendary (1% chance of inherit) What we'd need is a gene roller that would have the player redeem a token that allows the breeding, then select the parents from a drop-down list of their own characters. They'd then click "Confirm", and get a popup asking them to confirm a second time. The roller would pull the traits from the selected characters and determine which the offspring character would receive. We also need it to be able to make between 1 and 2 per breeding activity, which would be random. The way this would differ from a normal breed roller in a pet game sim would be that it wouldn't generate a visual image. Instead, it just lists the traits out for the user to then either create themselves or redeem with our artist team. We'd like this to create a "Masterlist" image (pet profile), that displays a sort of "coming soon" image and the listed traits. I'm not a great coder. I can do Discord Bots at best, so if there's something in here that needs revising or discussion I'm happy to make adjustments for a better or more comprehensive outcome. A Beauty Contest The "Beauty Contest", I think, is pretty simple. Users enter the contest by selecting their character. There's a fee that I'd like to be able to set from our admin panel. It imports the character's "Masterlist Image" (the equivalent of a pet picture on a pet site), then allow users to vote on which they like best. We'd like to run these for 2 weeks and then have the prizes automatically awarded (a particular amount of points and an item for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). We'd also like a secondary "Beauty Contest" section where users can upload their own artwork of their character. This one, I imagine, is a little more complex because we'd also like the ability to remove images that aren't appropriate. Otherwise, it runs like the above Beauty Contest. We'd like to be able to set the prizes for these in the Admin Panel. Walk-A-Long App If anyone is willing to also give me a quote for a future implementation, please DM me as well. It's a mobile component that would work as an app to allow the character to "travel" with the player and collect random items and points for how long they walked. Think Pocket Pikachu, not Pokemon Go. I'd need it to track distance via GPS (which would require the download of the app as well as the user to agree to the GPS tracking), and random events, mile markers, and for the rewards to be applied automatically. I'd also like it to be able to be able to tell when a user is trying to cheat the system, and also have a daily cap. I'm looking for quotes, examples of other work, references, and time frames for completion. I can pay 50% down and 50% upon completion (same as I'd ask for my artwork ).
  16. Hey everyone! I'm Tony, and I'm currently looking to take on some additional work. I pride myself in my ability to produce quality work quickly, and to style match the current work in a project. Feel free to contact me with questions! My Site: https://tonywatkinsart.weebly.com/ A few samples of my work; (NOTE: Horse bases are not by me, the items and markings on the horses are by me)
  17. I got into a debate with my husband the other night. He uses multiply layers to shade (using primarily purple and blue tones). I very rarely do this, and when I do it's more of a base/guide than the actual shading. Instead, I use color shifting. What are your thoughts? What techniques do you use to shade?
  18. Hey everyone! I'm trying to recoup some lost funds for this. Selling these sabretooth tiger sketches, looking for $20 OBO. I can make small changes for the purchaser. I can also complete the sketches (ink, flat color, shade, whatever) for an additional upcharge. Samples of my completed work can be found here: instagram.com/tonywatkinsart HMU if you're interested I accept PayPal and Venmo. My ToS is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wz-goUtItRCjiwqblQOqpLgIGjEHqU_vC6wVZap6ojE/edit?usp=sharing (keeping in mind that in the Rights portion, you'd be obtaining the full rights. I'd reserve the right to display the image(s) in my portfolio). Thanks all and stay safe!
  19. For reference; I'm finished with this person and the situation. If anyone needs additional screenshots or logs I have the full conversation. I won't have my own image twisted as one of a person who doesn't try to bend. My payment for orders under $75USD is full, he refused and stated he wouldn't even negotiate on paying half down. I tried.
  20. 1. You told Judda I was "getting threatening". 2. Your "apology" came with no offer of resolution. Just "I didn't see this". 3. There are still numerous red flags and contradictions throughout our conversation. I generally try to work with my clients through difficulties and misunderstandings, but there comes a point where it's not a misunderstanding. You literally tried to manipulate me into working without payment by telling me how you pay artists more than they ask, and very suddenly told me about family issues you were having when I asked for payment. I made this warning at the recommendation of others on staff. The warning is public so that other artists can see this experience and make up their own mind about if they would like to work with P3 in the future. Please don't act like I didn't try to resolve this. I have screenshots of me trying to resolve it and you telling me your "bottom line", insulting the quality of my work, and repeatedly lying to me.
  21. Hey all, Long time no see (on the forum at least haha). Unfortunately, I'm here on my old account to give a negative experience I've had. NOTES: I'm "FlameoHotman", yes, this account is Jwatkinsart when I used to go by my middle name online. All updated art profiles are TonyWatkinsArt (insta/twitter) for lack of confusion (... can I change my name here somehow? ) I posted work of a lion on the TGL Discord server and was put in contact with PhantomFire of PocketPumaPets (which I'll call P3 going forward from here). We discussed his needs and price and settled on the price for a base. For note, my ToS states that for orders under $75USD, I must be paid in full. This was under $75USD and was not a long-term contract. PhantomFire told me he wanted to deviate from the current style of the site and into something more realistic. I told him I'd be happy to help with that and did 2 good-faith sketches shown here: https://sta.sh/03g54ut22jw He followed up by sending me this image, stating that it was done in 2018 by an artist who "disappeared". He then proceeded to tell me that the sketches I'd sent were good, but asked that I make the head bigger, the body "chunkier". I said I was surprised because initially I'd had the mouth open, but was concerned that it could interfere with items in the future, to which he told me that items are "cut to fit" the base, not the other way around. I said I'd be happy to do this, but that since he liked the sketches and we were getting into actual work I'd need the payment down before making changes. He then told me to "take my time" and disappeared for about a week. I chalked it up to being the holiday season and reached back out to check in. This is where things went down hill. PhantomFire then stated that he would not be willing to pay me until the image was finished. He then claimed that the base needed to fit the style of the sketch he'd provided (above), that the items wouldn't fit on my sketch, and that he wouldn't be willing to pay even half without me continuing to work. I told him I don't make exceptions to my ToS without long-term contracts, and that I'd already given him two good-faith sketches. He followed this up by telling me that I'd said I couldn't make the changes, and that he would not be willing to pay. Guys, this was all super sus the whole way through. He repeatedly told me about artists who had "disappeared", and then tried to guilt me into working on this without payment because he'd "never had a problem with artists before". I've worked with a handful of you on here, so I think you all know the amount of pride I take in my work and professionalism. I'm willing to go an extra mile if needed, but there were so many red flags. I've attached parts of the convo below for you to view as well (I won't be sending the whole thing because at one point he starts to tell me quite a bit about his family as he's telling me he's refusing payment). Be wary, friends. TL;DR - insulting, calling cleaned sketches "rough", making excuses for why he won't pay me that completely contradict the original statements before I said I needed payment to continue, ends with stating that I've somewhere said I'm not able to make the changes he's requesting, which is 100% untrue. Be wary.
