  1. @Pepper-Head ah okay. I'm not super confident in my ability to develop HTML5/JavaScript games. I use the phaser.io engine for all my minigame development It's the only game engine I'm comfortable in at the moment. My hourly rate is around $45/hr though so I'm not sure if that's within your budget! I was just curious on what exactly you were looking for.
  2. @Pepper-Head are you looking for somebody confident in HTML5 or JavaScript? Many people confuse HTML5 with the use of the canvas element to create interactive minigames.. when it's actually just JavaScript. I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly.
  3. That is an awesome update! Great job I should checkout my account again and login.
  4. So I downloaded Animal Crossing Pocket Camp yesterday and I'm completely hooked! Has any way else played it? I loved how they introduced new mechanics like quests, crafting, and relationships! Who here wants to share their ID? I'm looking for some friends so I can go into these mines and such. We can visit each other's camp sites ?
  5. Your example you have listed here: How much does one set typically cost (from egg to final stage)? ?
  6. I think that was a pun? Considering their favorite character is Jon snow? Lol
  7. OMG! This is absolutely adorable. I wish I could find a use!
  8. @Cadence Thank you very much for the compliment! I am always available via Skype and it is the easiest way to get a hold of me! Honestly, I would be very interested in that opportunity. What is your Skype username? Would you need me to do the back-end development or would I be doing front-end as well? I guess we could discuss details over Skype! I'm not sure how that would work with you being located in Canada, but we could look into it! And that's exactly how I am. I like to hire contractors that are a part of communities that I'm apart of. Thank you! Haley PS: Sorry for not getting back to your earlier! I don't log onto these forums very often! But I'm always on Skype whether I'm on my computer or my phone!
  9. Hello! Many of you may know me from other community forums as Peanut! My husband and I recently just had a baby girl and she is now 4 weeks old. My husband is a stay at home dad while working part-time as an IT technician, but we are becoming financially stressed since I use to make all the primary bills when I was working before I gave birth. Experience I was working at Smucker's locally here in Northeast Ohio, but my contract ended a week before my due date. Now that we have things under control with the little one, I am trying to find work since Smucker's does not have the budget to bring me back on board. You can see the work I did for them by visiting www.crisco.com, www.pillsburybaking.com, www.thenoseprint.com, and www.dunkinathome.com. It shows a lot of my front-end work, but I did most of the backend work on Dunkin At Home (which is done in the Pimcore CMS). I am currently developing my own sim/pet game, but it's coming along very slowly since I have a lot of other priorities (like paying my bills lol). I am hoping to find any short-term, long-term work here. I have also done work for Misticpets, Utasia, DStable, and a few other sites, but that was a while ago. Payment I'm very negotiable with payment (pay by feature, pay by hour, etc.). I prefer an hourly rate of somewhere between $20-25/hr so I try to estimate features based on that rate. I always give a high estimate so you will never owe more than what is stated before the feature is started! Skills/Technical Strengths Laravel 5 & 4, CodeIgniter, Pimcore, Silverstripe, Wordpress, Drupal, Magento, PHP, MySQL/PDO, HTML, CSS, Phaser.io, Vue.js, Javascript & jQuery, Git Availability & Contact I am available full-time or part-time! I am looking to pick up a few clients. I am always on Skype and I also use Slack as well so you can always reach me! You can message me on here, Skype me at h_lohrenz, or email me at [email protected]. Thank you!
  10. Beautiful artwork! The style isn't within the style of my game or else I would definitely purchase these! Good luck!
  11. Oh wow your art is fantastic! If we didn't already have an art style established for Lurania Kingdom, I would definitely inquire about your services! Maybe if I get another game on the side developed
  12. As a programmer, I definitely plan before jumping right into it. I always map out the database tables and come up with scenarios in my head to see if that setup will work. I do that with every new feature I introduce into the game as well. I find it a pain having to go back and forth redoing my database structure just because I missed a vital piece. On the artwork side, I commission my artists as features are being developed so I don't do much planning on that end, but i do make sure that I list everything I'll need for that feature to be complete so they don't have to keep revisiting the project. I find it easier to work with finalized art pieces rather than prototypes/bogus images. I will always map out each feature before jumping into it. It helps me get a really good starting point and helps me also be productive and develop faster.
  13. I started developing in Laravel (I developed DStable in CodeIgniter.. which I'm unsure if that ever released, but then I moved over to Laravel). I will always use a framework for larger projects. If it's something small, then no, I don't use a framework. But if it's a large project, I will always use one. It has great security, stability, community, etc. There is no reason not to and reinvent the wheel in my eyes.
  14. Thank you!! They are letting me work full time remote now not after I give birth though but I have 6 more weeks!
  15. Wow this opened my eyes up to a lot of stuff I was doing wrong. I am definitely going to create a group. Right now I have a page. Would it look bad to have both you think? What's your opinion on that?
  16. This is great I can't wait to see the project come to life!
  17. Very nice do the medals show up on mobile? I'm posting on my phone right now and I don't see anybody's medals!
  18. @SingSong haha not how I grew up. My mom was my best friend/passive while my dad was very strict.. I didn't get along with my dad mainly because he didn't know how to "be strict" without being abusive. Haha I actually just changed my mind.. I guess I am working up until my water breaks now! Haha I'm a Taurus and my husband is a Virgo. I haven't looked into the zodiac sign of Cancer though Both my husband and I have the Earth element though. Aweee <3 I'm sorry! I just joined a mommy's group on Facebook and the girl running it was born on July 4th! I really hope that doesn't happen with Madilyn. I hate how it has become such a party day.
  19. @SingSong oh really?? I actually never heard of that! I just hear how emotional the girls are versus the boys. I know a lot of girls who are clingy to their moms! But I'm sure she is going to be clingy to my husband since he is going to be a stay at home dad while I work I think it's honestly just who they grow up with more! Oh yes! I totally agree. I wasn't very comfortable with my parents.. at least telling them about stuff because they would either A) get angry or B ) be extremely judgemental. So I definitely know what NOT to do when it comes to expressing their emotions/feelings. Awee thank you! My contract actually just got extended today until June 2nd and I give birth July 6th. My boss just asked if I would be willing to work past June 2nd and I said yes so I'm only going to be off for like 2 weeks before I give birth D: I am SUPER exhausted and cranky most of the time, but I really like what I do. Awee thank you! I hope to create sneak peeks soon now that I can stop stressing about my financial stability!
  20. @Nate thank you! I am finding the community very friendly as well, I love it. It's definitely a refreshment I will be able to show more soon since my contract will be ending at my current workplace. I was just trying to get in as much financial stability as I could before the little one got here Haha, I am not looking forward to her growing up. I want her to stay little forever! lol. What is your game that you are developing?
  21. Haha I know! I'm so nervous because everybody I know says they are more difficult since they are more emotional, but I don't think that's necessarily true. I mean.. once puberty comes, sure. I'm super excited because I'm a photographer so I'm going to do a lot of mommy and me sessions (if you ever heard of those). But I'm also doing it with my husband where they will wear all plaid and match with colors and such. And yes.. I work full-time (and might get extended for another month in the next 2 weeks) until I stop working.. 4 weeks before giving birth lol. So I am pretty exhausted right now. And yes! We do have a Facebook page, but I haven't been updating it yet until we get more features fully developed since I have been jumping back and forth between some. It's called Lurania Kingdom so you will find it on Facebook if you look for it! I'm hoping to release more sneak peeks in the coming month when my contract ends!
  22. I LOVE working with Imagick and the GD library. The first time around though, I did find it extremely frustrating. I started messing with it about 7 years ago (geez.. where has the time gone...), but now it comes second nature to me. The feature I find super hard is making a super interactive battle system. The formulas for attack and defense and just trying to find a good formula to work with that makes it not too easy, but not impossible to win. It's more of the logic that gives me a huge road block and not so much the code for it though.
  23. Oh wow I really love your shading! I wish the pets were more in the style that I'm looking for, but I'm not sure if you could match the style we have going on. I do love the coloring style you have though!
  24. I'm currently developing a game called Lurania Kingdom. I haven't released too much information on it, but I have started a Facebook on it and will be posting updates starting next month. It's an RPG simulation game that has a heavy focus on pets still. We have around 20+ NPCs developed with backstories and personalities, 5+ pets (baby and adult stages), and a good codebase going.
  25. Oh I second Phaser as well. I dont really view it as a library (I mean it is.. technically, but it's more of a game engine to me). I don't use it very often on applications though, but only for games since that is its primary use. It's just not something you can use in every application like Vue.js and such.
