  1. That's kinda funny because I also charge $60/hour lol. Way back when, I used to see $20/hour being put out a lot but I guess times have changed!
  2. Just released a new pet for NeverGuardians: https://neverguardians.tumblr.com/post/187213253960/introducing-rainphant
  3. Hi! You can do that here in the for hire section. Every programmer has their own costs. You'll have to enquire to get a better idea. Some charge by the hour and some charge per project. You'll get all sorts of prices for lots of different level of experience. I charge a high $60/hour price but I don't usually do petsite work because most people here don't have a budget for that kind of work. I think I've seen the hourly rate here around $15-20/hour. Since you know close to nothing, you will want to learn the basics. PHP is a language which can do the dress-up type features you're after, so you'll want to learn the basics of PHP first and get familiar with that before you dive into coding your own dress-up game. Once you're comfortable with PHP, you'll want to look at the PHP libraries for GD and Imagick, as they're what are commonly used for creating this type of content. I guess my only question is, what are you end-goals? If all you want is a simple dress-up game that you can play with for fun, then I suggest hiring someone to make it for you. If you're planning on creating your own site one day with many different types of features, I'd start learning how to program from the beginning. Beginner tutorials, videos, practise etc. Hope that helps!
  4. Hi! Would it be possible to get my site added to the in-development list? Here are quick details: Site Name: NeverGuardians Site URL: https://www.neverguardians.com/ Tumblr: https://neverguardians.tumblr.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/neverguardians Let me know if you need more details!
  5. What kind of traffic is your site getting? Uniques per month?
  6. I've got two new pets to show off that have been completed! I've been having so much fun with my pet customisation system for these two. Here are their original bases/designs without markings: Check out more on my Tumblr: https://neverheroesgame.tumblr.com/ Slowly getting more and more art assets done!
  7. You should use Amazon Affiliate if you can. I earn more from this than I ever have Adsense.
  8. Whilst I didn't create this, I'd like to show off one of the pets I'm releasing for my game NeverHeroes: Don't have a name for this guy yet, any suggestions haha? You can see more variations of him here on my development blog: https://neverheroesgame.tumblr.com/ I'm going to get some markings made next for customization and then create a demo of my pet generator/breeding simulator to show off different versions.
  9. Hi all! I'm in the process of developing a brand new petsite. It's in the early stages of development and Dracula has helped me create one of the first pet samples. Eventually, players will be able to breed pets to make all sorts of cool versions. With that being said, I'm looking for an artist who can help me create markings for the pets. Things like stripe patterns, spots, blends and all other cool things. The game's theme is fantasy/anime, so I'm not too interested in the realistic side of things. Here is an example of the pet that Dracula did: So I'm looking for a dedicated artist to help me bring these pets to life with some markings. There's also opportunity for more interesting things, such as pet additions and possibly even pets in the future if we can work well together. Payment is always via PayPal. For the job, you'll be given the PSD of the pet to work with and help customise. If you're interested, please send me a PM with your portfolio/samples + pricing. @dracula
  10. My first attempt at a browser based RPG game XP Just managed to get character creation working today!
  11. You need to do a lot more research before you consider a kick-starter. No one will back a project by someone who doesn't really have a clue what they're doing. The good news is that you've come to the right place. I suggest learning how to build/setup a basic website first, using HTML/CSS. You'll want to have some grasp on how web hosting works and websites in general. Before you try to recruit people, know that it's an incredibly hard and challenging process to make a game. There are three core aspects to making a browser game: Programming, Art and Money. You'll find it hard to find volunteers if you can't offer any of these towards the game since everyone is trying to recruit these days. Simply having an idea isn't enough for people to want to invest in your game. Good luck!
