Accomplishing achievements is a fun way to get some in-game currency. Pet battling and completing quests are fun way too. It will get grindy though, so perhaps for those that also like a storyline and not a stagnant gameplay would be nice. Even if it's a linear story/lore.

They're fun, but I would prefer being able to upload my own avatar. (Dappervolk has nice human (and other specie) avatars and I love their painterly style since it's so unique! Probably the only exception that I would enjoy HAs)

Nice project you have here and it's definitely a big one to tackle. Another suggestion is a battle system. You could make simplified versions of everything and eventually create add-ons that makes it more complex. If you need ideas for different kinds you can look at virtual websites like Furvilla, Flight Rising, Goatlings, and Eliyo. You could make it player vs. opponent or chosen pet vs. opponent and so on.

One of the features that mysidia definitely needs are forums (without requiring the user to sign up again but on a completely different site and etc.). Do you think it's doable creating forums using php for mysidia?

My main goal is to finally stick to a workout routine. I just have so much trouble with working out consistently and for the most part at all. (yet I'm in the military how funny)

I've started dabbling in some programming (mainly jquery and java) and then I thought to myself...shouldn't I create a virtual pet sim firstly by establishing a concept and then focus on figuring out how to go about making it afterwards? I could just make all of the art asset and the actual content of the site and then go about putting it together then, but why is it that I'm already wanting to start learning programming instead??? I realized it's simply because programming will be faster for me to learn than trying to create a pet sim because when you're creating a pet sim it takes up a lot more time, especially if I'm wanting to make one successful (basically a pet sim that's popular/well known and has a chance of being around for years). On that note I'm curious, what steps did you take to developing your game? Was there any obstacles that hindered you from proceeding that was memorable? If you're currently building a game or games right now how is it going for you so far?

Pet battle system could be implemented? I know someone made one where you went against NPCS on the mysidia forums, but would it be possible to make a PVP version of the battle system too? So fighting against other user pets. Maybe make a tournament version too where the winning pet also wins a item/pet as a prize?

I'm currently working in a maintenance field and so far it's been pretty exhausting. ;d I left my tablet back in home in the US so going to have buy a new drawing tablet and get back into digital art.
